Ex girlfriend looking after DC

It's DC weekend with his dad this weekend and it transpires that he's not actually around as he's gone off to a festival leaving his GF in charge.

I'm really cross about it. Do I have any right to be? Is it that he can do whatever he wants on his time with kids even if not actually with them? It feels like time I could be having with DC if he isn't having them.

Sounds difficult

But might be worth tentatively carving out a relationship with the girlfriend. Would be for yours and your children’s benefit

Thanks. How do I do that though without dealing with him?

You’re going to have to be the big person in this scenario and swallow your resentment and anger
So either you suggest to him that you have her contact details but assure that absolutely only in relation to the children and arrangements and nothing further. And mean it.

Or send her a short gentle message via FB

Thank you.
