So who is up for a mumsnet Christmas meal? Possibly not to the same place that tried to fleece us last year! the only dates i cant do are the 10th and the 17th Dec (what a packed social life i have!)

I have no ideas in terms of where to go - i had a lovely meal at Gastro17whatever down East Hill, but it may be a bit pricey at £26 each (not inc drinks) here theres the lemon tree here similar price, erm, where else? We could do indian again - the Maharani is the best in colchester IMHO - or open to any suggestions.

What does everyone think?
jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way...

Sawyer64 · 06/12/2009 10:19

Sounds good to me SP!!

Mung · 07/12/2009 19:50

I dont mind dropping you home SP and Sawyer. I can even take you back too Lucyfer, if you want.

pooter · 08/12/2009 10:38

Im happy to be a driver - but am not going to be up for a late one though - will have to cut and run after the meal. Anyone in Myland/Braiswick/Gt Horkesley welcome in the bus.

NormaSknockers · 08/12/2009 18:19

I can always take the car seats out & offer a lift too I'm taking Jently home so nayone that way - you'll have to direct me though as I have absolutely no idea where I'm going I won't be leaving to late though else I'll be asleep in the corner!

lucyfer2000 · 08/12/2009 22:11

Sorry not to get back sooner. I have been avoiding posting because i'm not sure if I am going to be able to make it now! That is really rubbish isn't it. If I do make it I am likely to be a bit late. I think it should be OK to leave the booking at 8 and hope for the best shouldn't it - they will have to have an even number at the table anyway.

Sorry to be a pain - I will let you know near the time. Fingers crossed!
xx

Sawyer64 · 08/12/2009 22:12

Ah don't we sound sweet....
Obviously knackered devoted Mums!
Looks like it will be an early night for most of us.
Offer of lift home Pooter/Mung greatly appreciated.

purpleflower · 08/12/2009 22:21

I'm ok for getting home, I'm meeting some friends out on the town after and will probably end up in the slapperdrome a highly respectable nightspot

I'm making the most of my night out

SparklyPrincess · 09/12/2009 13:55

Early night?!

Slackers ... don't think I'll be following purpleflower to the respectable nightspot though

A lift home would be lovely but I'll bring some trainers in case everyone heads off before pudding

Hope you can make it Lucyfer - I'm sure its fine to leave the booking as it is.

NormaSknockers · 10/12/2009 22:47

Is it 7 or 8 we need to be there for?

SparklyPrincess · 11/12/2009 00:12

Pooter said 7 - glad you asked cos I thought it was 8!

pooter · 11/12/2009 00:17

Definitely 7 (i cant last until 8 to eat!!)

What are you doing up at this time SP? go to bed! Am taking my own advice any second...

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 11/12/2009 07:54

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought 8!

Ok 7 fabby, I shall liase with Jently as to what time to pick her up (hope I don't get lost!!)

Sawyer64 · 11/12/2009 14:13

Perhaps Santa will bring you a SatNav for Christmas if you have been a good girl Normas?

SparklyPrincess · 11/12/2009 16:23

Or a road map if she's only be okay ...

NormaSknockers · 11/12/2009 17:28

I did suggest a Sat Nav to DH but he just suggested using MultiMap! I know roughly where I'm going just not driven it on my own yet but I guess that's how I'll learn just driving around!
