lol wrong library SPB, I mean Clayport library. Mmmmmm chips.

Have just booked the Christmas meet restaurant for those interested parties.

StealthPolarBear · 13/11/2009 19:15

juneybean · 16/11/2009 01:56

lol is there plenty of places to park as well? i'm so useless at durham

Indith · 17/11/2009 11:23

So where shall we meet?

Juney you should be able to find parking easily enough. During the day you can usually get parked on Old Elvet which is very central.

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 11:56

Well if I can get dizzytrout to come she will be coming from the bus station so I was thinking somewhere near Millburngate?? But don't know what's around there

OP posts:
Indith · 17/11/2009 12:42

Not much

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 12:51

right, so further in town probably better
where's that guide book you wrote?

OP posts:
Indith · 17/11/2009 13:13

sorry that was a really unhelpful answer!

Lets go for Cafe Continental on Elvet Bridge as from experience if we can get a table downstairs it is the best place with toddlers. If we can't then it is all much the same, nowhere really has buggy space(apart fromt he place near the library where they look at you as though you are an alien and try to make you as uncomfortable as possible) so even if we end up upstairs it is no big deal. And they sell chocolate truffle cheesecake. And I keep seeing their lunch menu and thinking I should try it out

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 13:44

sounds good

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 17:46

juneybean · 17/11/2009 18:09

If Laugs hasn't popped already I will ask her tomorrow?

foxytocin · 17/11/2009 18:26

no SPB. i feel like shit, still, with swine flu since last monday. if I feel better by friday and I may do, I ought to go to .... work.

i still haven't met your scrummy dd.

Indith · 17/11/2009 18:32

Oh no foxy! You been hit hard then? That is rubbish.

SPB's dd is scrummy. She passed her to me on Monday and I refused to give her back, she was all awake and looking around and doing lovely little smiles.

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 19:47

thanks Indith, she is lovely, even when full of snot and with little fists like ice cubes

OP posts:
BouncingTurtle · 18/11/2009 14:26

Oh poor you Foxy!!

I'll be driving in, not sure where I am parking yet, not going to use the park n ride as I will have starving toddler with me lol, so it'll be quicker just to get parked up somewhere!

SO Cafe Continental don't mind rampaging toddlers running around then?

Bloody hope so

I'll probably be there for around 12:30.

Indith · 18/11/2009 15:02

Well more that if you get a table downstairs it is a tiny square room so he can run round in circles and you don't have to chase after him! Plus there are only a couple of tables down there so you don't feel as though you are annoying the whole cafe.

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2009 14:09

final few bumps, anyone else coming?

OP posts:
juneybean · 19/11/2009 15:32

Bumping too!

So 12.30 ? and downstairs?

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2009 15:37

I assume that given I know where Elvet Bridge is, this place isn't hard to find? Haven't noticed it, it's not where Hollathan's was is it?

OP posts:
juneybean · 19/11/2009 15:38

I've only looked on google maps and it seems to be on a sort of corner right near the bridge? I could be walking around aimlessly lol

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2009 15:42

well the bridge isn't big so i'm assuming i'll find it when i have my eyes open!

OP posts:
Indith · 19/11/2009 16:40

It is the end of the bridge that the Swan and 3 is and over the other side from it, near STA and Lebeado.

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2009 17:01

thanks, i know where you mean
