mrsR

dd still not well, after a good day yesterday she was sick all over the sofa this morning, I think it was because dh gave her chocolate cake last night he thinks it cures all ills

anyway at least I was out and did not have to clean it

hope all are well

mellow2 · 31/01/2009 17:56

Auntie - No problem. Worthy cause.

Sfx - Sorry dd is still not well. When dd has D&V, dairy products upset her stomach.

Slng - No plans. If you're going to Lung Fung in Alperton, enjoy the lion dance.

SJ99 · 31/01/2009 18:31

Poor miniSfx, hope she gets rid of the latest traces of the bug. Good planning on your part to be out while that happened

Been a tough week, DS2 waking up a ridiculous amount at night, starting to get me down. Got new eye drops specifically for his eye infection, already seems to be improving. DS1 also sick today but I think it was because he had coughing fit rather than bug. Also was away when it happened so DH had to clean up child and pushchair!

Enjoy the celebrations if you go Slng

pcworld · 31/01/2009 20:45

On here v briefly! Poor mini SFX, hope there is some improvement soon.

SJ, you poor girl you must be exhausted. You will come out the other side soon. Am sending lots of sympathy.

pcworld · 31/01/2009 20:45

PS: meant to say - hope everyone else is well!

sfxmum · 31/01/2009 21:18

oh no SJ much sympathy for you

thanks re dd I think she is developing anxiety regarding the whole being sick business but having her cousins around tomorrow should distract her
and yes milk does the same for me but dh insists is good for her tummy

really hope I can run tomorrow morning is has been a very bad week for it and I am feeling it, I suppose being cold has the advantage of fewer people about getting in my way

pcworld · 01/02/2009 15:02

Auntie - if you are on here - the gods are against us as I can't make tomorrow now - poor ds has hideous d&v

can't get my facebook to work, will try and get on there later and speak to you there!

SJ hope there is some improvement.

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 08:03

Hi all, have had a busy weekend so not much chance to get on.

Sfx, hope dd is feeling better now

Sj, poor you with the sleepless nights. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night & that the ds's are ok.

PCworld - poor ds as well. Hope he'll get better soon.

We went to London Zoo on Saturday as my parents were down, last outing for ds1's birthday. Ds1 got a fright though, he ran up to see the tigers just as one jumped up at the glass, it scared him just a little!
It reminded me why we don't go to zoos though, always end up feeling sad for the animals, the gorillas especially looked unhappy .

Ds1 was very excited to see the snow this morning so no doubt we'll be building a snowman. Well, until he decides his hands are too cold & wet to do it

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 08:13

All the schools seem to be shut!!!

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 08:14

DS2 ran around last night in the snow, poking it with his fat fingers, shouting "snow, snow!!"

Then he ran in, crying "cold, cold!!"

slng · 02/02/2009 08:42

School is shut!

DS1 played a bit in the snow. DS2 is terrified!

sfxmum · 02/02/2009 08:45

hi all good morning looks gorgeous out

dd is much better thanks but dh is down for the count, laying nurse today I am

pc hope ds is improving

are the schools shut? all the kids in the neighbourhood seem to be outside my window

dd still asleep as yesterday it was all to exciting with cousins and aunties around and she did bake the Barack Obama cake as can be seen on FB

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 09:51

So much for snowman building, we went out, ds1 fell over, we came back in

On the plus side, dh is coming home after lunch!

stepfordwife · 02/02/2009 09:53

winter wonderland
yep, schools shut
the kids are running up and down street and in and out of houses
like it
anything to drag 'em away from ds/playstation/wii

going to take to park with teatray state-of-the-art sledge soon

hope everyone well - hope all sickly los recover and you get more sleep, SJ.

not sure what i think of this new style - a bit squashed up, isn't it?
right, off to play snowballs - dh and will start off all fun and laughs, then he'll go one step too far in a boy-like manner. ie; putting snow down my back or throwing a snowball in my face; i'll get annoyed with him and the fun will be over
enjoy!
toodlepip

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 10:06

Steppie, sounds v similar your snowball fight

sfxmum · 02/02/2009 11:20

we went out in the snow dd super excited and point blank refused to come back in when I suggested it, cue 2 minutes later
'oh mummy I am freezing it hurt oh mummy I am freezing...'

really deep snow behind our building all fluffy and nice

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 11:42

It is nice & fluffy snow but ds1 wasn't keen! At least I've got CBeebies back now!

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 11:42

Oooh I love virgin snow SFX! Did you save a tasty bit of Barack for me?

Six more inches of snow due to fall this afternoon/evening and blizzards forwcast

Just rang DH at work and told him to come home - otherwise he could get stuck.

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 11:43

Ros glad Cbeebiesis back. Our new TV was supposed to be delivered today but they cancelled due to weather

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 11:46

Auntie, how far does dh have to travel?

Dh is only in Roehampton but he's coming home after lunch

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 12:33

Ros - to Holloway Rd, so a fair old way really. I was talking to someone on FB earlier, who's DP popped over to see friend in S London last night and got stranded! I have called DH twiceto tell him to come home, but he is so dedicated to work

DS1 has rolled the mother of all sowballs with some nieghbours' boys.

They have placed it in the middle of the road, then when cars have to stop, the all throw snowballs at the stranded car!!

And DS2 just ran outside in he snow with just socks on !!!

DD is very wisely lying on the bed watching CCbeebies

rosmerta · 02/02/2009 12:42

auntie, lol, are you pretending ds1 doesn't belong to you?

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/02/2009 12:43

Ha Ha - you know me so well!!!

I keep leaning out of the window to keep an eye - but every time I lean, I bang my knee. Its actually quite painful now!

pcworld · 02/02/2009 12:50

Quick hello. Isn't the snow wonderful! ds still v poorly so we are not able to go out but dh helped dd to build a snowman earlier on. He is working from home and quite busy.

sfxmum · 02/02/2009 12:55

dh has the D&V bug but seems worst than anyone alive, yes I know I am being mean

do so hope I don't get it

pcW they do look and feel very poorly don't they poor LO's

auntie local kids doing similar have watched a couple of cars sliding along on our road, I expect it is pretty dangerous on untreated roads

imagine if it snowed like this every winter, it all stops
