Do any of you know Bumpi's at Meridian Leisure park??

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 13/11/2008 12:13

Was there on Sunday for a party, is good for the bigger ones.

And has nice cake.

New Walk is a good idea too, though unless they have finished the refurb. the cafe at the moment is shocking.

stretchmarkqueen · 13/11/2008 12:18

Lol @ nice cake!! They had Rocky Road the other day!! Cyteen, you are very lovely!!

Where is new walk?? I don't go into town often anymore and can't remember. Is it near Fenwicks??

cyteen · 13/11/2008 12:18

next time i'm in town i'll try and remember to take a look at the cafe.

bumpi's looks good but would be a pain for me to get to

cyteen · 13/11/2008 12:19

new walk is near fenwick's - it's the nice leafy pedestrian boulevard that leads up towards clarendon pk/the uni.

stretchmarkqueen · 13/11/2008 12:19

How old are your dcs then?? I have a 6yr, 3 yr and a baby. Obv, the 6yr old is at school.

cyteen · 13/11/2008 12:20

DS is 10 weeks...nice and portable (when he's asleep)

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 13/11/2008 12:46

Ds is 4 and at school, dd is 8 months.

BONKERZ · 13/11/2008 12:53

im hinckley way. have ds who is 8 and has autism and DD who is 3 in december

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 13:12

Hi ladies.
For a meet-up, I think somewhere central is the best plan as we all seem to live in different directions, and not everyone drives.
I don't know anything about New Walk or very much about the city centre at all really! So am very happy to go wherever is suggested.
If you want soft play then GoKidsGo is more central (and better) than Bumpis IMHO, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'm free any day except Fridays but I know several of you work so I'll leave picking days up to those of you with more constraints

Don't you just love it when people are decisive

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 13:13

Oh, DD is 2.8.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 13/11/2008 13:19

GoKidsGo is fine for me, I'm free anyday really with a bit of notice.

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 13:21

The only thing to remember with GoKidsGo is that it is cheaper if you go between 10 and 1 ... then it's £3.75 for 1-4 yr olds; one adult per child is free and you get a free hot drink for the adults and a jug of juice for the kiddies.
After 1pm it's still £3.75 for the kids but it's £1 per adult and you don't get the free drinks.

Like I say, GoKidsGo works for me but I'm easy.

cyteen · 13/11/2008 13:25

I'm happy with GoKidsGo, and any day is fine

stretchmarkqueen · 13/11/2008 13:44

Yep, me too!! Where's gokidsgo then??

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 13:47

GoKidsGo is on Raw Dykes snigger Road. Right next to the Walkers Stadium.

I know that Choufleur is only free on Mondays so, if no one has any objection, it'd be the best day so far ... WTWTW - how much notice do you need??

stretchmarkqueen · 13/11/2008 13:49

Yep, mondays would be great!! DD1 has cheerleading straight after school, so won't have to pick her up until 4.30. I don't really know how to get there, but will ask dh! I am notoriously bad at directions!

choufleur · 13/11/2008 14:00

Oh exciting. i'm coming (if it's a monday). the museum has a lot of refurbishment work going on at the moment so it's not as good as it usually is. The big kids area in the middle isn't there.

Gokidsgo sounds good to me. better than bumpis as Ds can get round it on his own (so i can sit down and have a natter)

Oooh, so are we on for a monday then??? Now...which one!!

choufleur · 13/11/2008 14:24

any for me (apart from 15th Dec)

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 14:25

Mondays between now and christmas are ...

17th November
24th November
1st December
8th December
15th December

22nd is out because the schools will have broken up by then and it'll be much busier. (Also, I have a dentist appointment )

Tigerschick · 13/11/2008 14:28

x posts there - so 15th and 22nd December are out ...

cyteen · 13/11/2008 14:29

Shall we say 1st December then? That's good for me and will give me time enough to mentally prepare for the excitement of meeting real live MNers

choufleur · 13/11/2008 14:31

i'll be there. what time? it opens at 10 i think.
