This is the 3rd wk of these dreaded hols and i'm really feeling it this yr having 6 of the little darlings to entertain in this terrible weather. Any 1 in Abingdon area interested in meeting up to let off steam

Are people still up for meeting this morning? It's looking pretty snowy out there and there's more coming down now. I'll keep an eye on it but might decide against it if it gets much worse.

Wellll... we'll probably wimp out and come by car! (am only about 15 mins walk from cafe... DS often gets sleepy about 9-10 so we might be a little late, or possibly even a tiny bit early in order to get there before his nap! If I do come, I'm wearing a long cord skirt and black top and will have a blue nose! DS has lots of dark hair...

Nope. I'm afraid I'm wimping out altogether - it's really snowing hard here and I'm quite a long way from Benson. Don't want to get stranded! Hope we can do another Monday some time.

It is looking worse and worse, isn't it? We may take a snow day... but I'll try and make the next meet up! (Can't help thinking that I must already know some of you, given that I go to a lot of the local baby groups and so on. )

I couldn't get the car down the hill. Just took Ff and the dogs for a wintery walk though, which was great fun. (Not least because I have never seen a rottweiler skid on ice before )

Can anyone suggest another day?

Minniemummy, the NCT Under Ones group meets at Mongewell Nursery at 10 -11.30 on tuesday mornings. About half the time there's an invited speaker (local independent midwife, library rep) or small company (like Barefoot Books, Babyworld, or the paint-your-own pots lady comes and we do mugs with baby footprints on...) and the rest of the time it's just us and some coffee! There's usually about 12-15 mums with their babies there. It's open to non-NCT people as well as members. The Mongewell Nursery is off one of the roundabouts just outside Wallingford - if you continued on the road off the roundabout, you'd end up in Goring. Does anyone ever go to the music group at the church in the centre of Wallingford on a Wednesday morning? It is the only thing I have managed to attend fairly regularly, and Ff loves it.

Sorry folks, it looks like I won't be able to do this week after all. The Goldberry household are all on Easter hols (with dh and myself both being teachers) and well-wishing gradparents keep inviting us to do jolly holiday activities with them! It's off to Gulliver's Land on Wed, then the Cotswold Wildlife Park on Fri. In the rain, by the looks of the forecast. Still, hopefully the outings will cheer up birthday baby Goldberry, who fell down a full flight of stairs the other day and hit his head on the wooden floor. A fun night spent in A&E, but he's fine, thank goodness.

I've been useless at co-ordinating myself to join you lot, plus we usually go to the Under Ones in Wallingford of a tuesday morning (now rebranded as 'Tums to Tinies', so toddlers are welcome!) but I'd really like to meet some local MNers. Any plans for another Riverside Cafe meet-up any time soon?
