What about a book group?

I just came back from Aus and on the plane watched "The Jane Austen Book Club" (whilst not trying to ensure DD did not annoy every single passenger, and that the DTs did not eat too much chocolate out of their "childrens meals").

The women in the book group had a ball drinking wine, eating nibble, oh and talking about books as well. As I have finally managed to get a bit of time to read again, I wondered if anyone else might be interested in doing a book group type thingy - i.e. one of you picks a book, you all have to read it (in say, a month?) and then you all get together and talk about it.......as well as drinking copious amounts of wine and eating nibbles.

Betty are yout here, surely you would be interested!!???

That ticks all the boxes of a Jilly Cooper classic. Woohoo!

Ahhhh I can't come to the next one either as it's on DD's birthday.

I do have the book on my shelf though so will read it and be there in spirit

Hope you all had a good time last night, was in Manchester seeing DD in a concert so couldn't make it. Really hope to make it to the one after the Jan one as I've only managed the first lowbrow meeting I am still with you, honest!
