Will have to pass on tomorrow's. I spent all my money in Chicago, and I don't really like Escale. I find it rather blah... But, you gys have fun and I'll try to join the May one.

How about Ealing - Okawari

Was lovely (and reasonable) when slng and I went for a meal a few weeks ago.

I can't eat sushi atm so would rather not go to a sushi restaurant! But if that's the popular option then go for it & I'll join you on the next one

What about tapas? I think there's a tapas restaurant in Ealing, I haven't been there in ages but it used to be good.

we're having a Tapas evening tonight ros.. there is one in Northfields which is lovely Domingos

Right now I'm v of tonight! That's one of my fave restaurants!

Anyway, just read some reviews of the one I was thinking of & maybe not!

Yes I know La Tosca isn't too good is it - was that the one!

no, its called La Siesta on Bond St in Ealing, reviews basically said overpriced for small portions & quite greasy

oh yes and quite noisy and service not brilliant although they did lovely fried aubergines which I'm going to try and recreate tonight.

I am just glad it will not be when I am with raging PMT like tonight

Ros, you can eat sushi, just not the uncooked variety. We could pick a restaurant that does more than sushi so you could have say chicken teriyaki or something. Would that be okay?

LA Tosca is dire (we went there - in Kingston) a few weeks ago, terrible service, cold food, dishes missing. DH then told me that they are in financial trouble

However I do like tapas (and sushi) so am easy. SHall we wait on the date to see if anyone else signs up?

Would prefer Kingston for venue, so I can cab it and have a few drinks though

There is a makiyaki in Kingston. (and actually I would prefer Kingston as well)

They serve other food so wouldn't exclude our preggie one.

Prices are reasonable (for sushi).

MrsR and I both know it and the food is reliably good.

So.... Kingston, Makiyaki... oh bugger!

That's fine with me, Kingston's not too bad, sure someone will be catching the 65 back this way!

Athene is that place good. We drive past it regularly (it is the one almost opposite the big Sainsburys, Richmond side of Kingston is it not?) and it doesn't look much from the front. Do they do other food for those not wild about sushi?
