am not serious not even sure if they are from the same place but they do a couple regional dishes which I expect have limited appeal so I imagine just cater to fellow expats

is Northfields so inaccessible?

MrsRecycle · 02/05/2008 14:41

I did spot the Portugese Wine (first!). Its fine with me - I can actually get a Bus there and have a drink for the first time (not in my life obviously!).

bunyanvillas · 02/05/2008 16:02

May I come too Mind you, am on a crash diet, am still in maternity clothes wah! Could attend and nibble on a breadstick with large glass of vino for the main course

ComeOVeneer · 02/05/2008 16:05

It isn't that it is inacessible, it is just a long way so can't justify a cab, so I can't really drink, and need a night out with vino, but if it is good for everyone else I can see what public transport is like.

COV, you could catch the 65 bus from Kingston to Brentford or a train to Twickenham. I could pick you up and drive us to Northfields, if that helps

Or maybe we pick somewhere in Richmond?

fitfox · 03/05/2008 10:52

CoV how is Richmond for you?

Echo SFX's request for somewhere cheap

I am a cheap night out

...and which has salads (for the shrinking Bunyan)

fitfox · 03/05/2008 10:54

Just thinking actually, about location...

Isn't there a nice restaurant along Ham parade? Its not much further than Kingston for CoV and notmuch further than Richmond for those from Brentford/Ealing. Its is also spot on for 65 route!

Anyone know Ham parade and its restaurants? I couldcall my Dad and ask him, he lives near there.

rosmerta · 03/05/2008 13:49

I wouldn't be able to get to Ham Parade for 8 though. On the 15th I can't leave until about 7.45pm so would just about get to Richmond.

fitfox · 03/05/2008 14:10

Oh why does this seem so complicated?
I did google "restuarants Ham Parade" and all I go was venues in the USA!!!

We need somewhere that everyone can get to, including CoV as she missed the last one and started this thread in the hope of being able to meet up....

ComeOVeneer · 03/05/2008 14:45

OK guys. Richmond is fine. I can cab it from there no porblem. 8ish is also fine for me. So what about Gourmet burger (is that what it is called?) in Richmond?

OP posts:
sfxmum · 03/05/2008 16:27

we never quite made it there did we?

as the weather gets warmer we probably should scout around for a nice riverside place, but on the cheap side

fitfox · 03/05/2008 19:38

CoV do they do veggie food? Do you have a link my dear so we can nose at the menu?

sfxmum · 03/05/2008 19:55

there you go GBK
it is on Hill Rise

fitfox · 03/05/2008 20:12

Thanks SFX, looks absolutely delicious! Are they "affordable burgers" ?

sfxmum · 03/05/2008 21:32

no idea sorry but just how expensive can they be?

mellow2 · 04/05/2008 07:11

I think it's about £20 a head, according to my restaurant guide, Hardens. They're normally pretty accurate.

Oops. Something wrong with the connection.

rosmerta · 04/05/2008 08:51

I'm happy to go there, but it isn't really a place to sit and linger over your food, just so you know.

I'm really making things awkward,aren't I

ComeOVeneer · 04/05/2008 09:20

Could you recommend another venue then Ros (doesn't have to be Richmond, just not too much further than that.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 04/05/2008 10:21

wagamama? pizza rustica? fat boys? I know they are all chains but hey

MrsRecycle · 04/05/2008 13:28

how about the Tapas next to Richmond Station - I can get the Tube there (and I would like to have a drink seeing as I always have to drive!). Must admit Burgers are not my idea of a meal too Ros.

fitfox · 04/05/2008 13:35

OK Lets vote:

Wagamamas Foxie Tapas next to Richmond Stn

Gourmet Burgers Pizza Rustica
Foxie

Please put your name by your top 2 choices!

Thanks

MrsRecycle · 04/05/2008 13:37

Oh I like it Foxie, another Mayoral election strategy...
