I am - first time - all new to me - be lovely to meet any fellow bumps in the area - it seems to be an NCT-free zone...!

Hello Purple - congratulations!

I actually went to seven islands this morning to check out the aquasplash classes - they're Monday evenings 8-9 and Tuesday mornings 11.30 I think - 7 pounds a time unless you join then all the classes are free...that's about 45 a month (i think - didn't actually write any of it down!)

I'm going to try to go most Mondays though the next couple I don't finish work til 7 so might be a bit tight for time.

Have also arranged a pregnancy yoga session for a week on Tuesday with the very nice girl whose classes I used to go to before getting up the duff - she's going to go through what you can/can't do then I can go to her normal classes she says...you're very welcome to come along - it's at Globe Yoga on Crucifix Lane...

I did go to pregnancy yoga at st thomas's once also but I was 14 weeks and everyone else was 38 so I'm holding off for a while before going back!

Hi Hodge... Hope you & bump are blooming. Thanks for the info on the aqua classes, will probably go a week next monday. I finish work @ 5pm...I work just off Tower Bridge Road - Willow Walk and live in Rotherhithe so the times are fine for me.

Would love to go the Yoga class next Tues, but unfortunately I have a friends b-day thing to go to... without the booze... boo!
I haven't actually done any type of yoga before, so am slightly apprehensive about it.

hi purple - let me know how you get on at aquasplash - i'll definitely be going the monday week after next.

yoga-wise the classes at st thomas's are probably a good idea if you're a bit worried about doing it for the first time - you really don't need to be as it's essentially just breathing and stretching - but it can be a bit daunting if you go to a class where everyone's really flexible and been doing it for ages (i try to avoid these ones as I'm very unbendy and haven't done any exercise for 5 months!!)

but the st thomas one it was all very gentle - which is lovely and relaxing.

Hi Hodge, didn't end up going to aquasplash yesterday, was a bit under the weather. hopefully want to go next monday. Have you been yet?

Yeah thanks for the tip about St Thomas's, will probably give them a call within the next couple of weeks.

How are you doing anyway? have you had your 20/22 wk scan?
I've got mine tomorrow.. very excited.

Take care x

Hello - no I failed too last week - might try tomorrow but also had bad back and tummy pains last week so might just go to bed! though being in a pool could be best thing for it.

yes I had my 20 week scan - at about 22 weeks - it's brilliant! how was yours? are you finding out what you're having?

xx

Hi, the scan was great, a bit emotional because it's my first i think, but everythings fine... and we're having a girl! Which was a bit of a shock as both myself and my DP were sure i was having a boy.. but a lovely shock!

Hope you feel better than you did last week, back pain is awful, been having that alot myself lately! I think the best thing to do is probably just relax in bed...

Take care x
