There has been talk of meeting up at The Blue Strawberry in Hatfield Peverel. Does anyone fancy coming?

Here are a few dates that we can do:

27th March Mung, SP
3rd April Mung
10th April Mung, SP
17th April Mung, SP

For me, it would be great to meet up and not have to chase children around or check that they aren't wrecking the place . So, add your name to the days you can do and I'll get on the case and book.

Great idea!

Have added mine below... I can only do one day as dh is working on the others.

27th March Mung, SP
3rd April Mung
10th April Mung, SP, SR
17th April Mung, SP

Twinkie - I saw you're going into hospital soon - nothing serious I hope?

Saz126 · 18/03/2008 08:48

Hi all,

Would love to come along to Blue Strawberry!

My dates below:

27th March Mung, SP
3rd April Mung
10th April Mung, SP, SR, Saz
17th April Mung, SP, Saz

Saz xx

Twinkie1 · 18/03/2008 15:53

Hi Guys

3rd, 10th and 17th are good for me - would prefer the 3rd or 10th though as am out on the 18th!

Nothing serious - just getting a designer vagina and an op to stop me peeing when running, coughing or sneezing!

so

27th March Mung, SP
3rd April Mung, Twinkie
10th April Mung, SP, SR, Saz, Twinkie
17th April Mung, SP, Saz, Twinkie (if I must!)

sophierosie · 18/03/2008 19:36

Mung - I have some wellies in a size 3 (I think)- Would you like them for your dd?

Blimey Twinkie - that sounds quite full on - are you going to be in for a while?

Mung · 18/03/2008 21:40

Twinkie...I wondered how you would answer that question! I hope all the work and effort is worth it !

Sophierosie...the boots sound great! I have no idea what size DD is yet, but I will definitely make use of them.

It looks like the 10th then ladies...I'll wait and see if anyone else can do that day and then I will book.

Hi Twinkie, Good Luck hope all goes well!
Will you be off work for a while then? Saz x

Twinkie1 · 19/03/2008 11:09

Yep off work for at least 2 weeks - yes is pretty full on but will apparently be worth it for both DH and I and will stop me peeing everywhere like a stinky old granny!

10th cool with me - maybe best to book a table for 6 or 7 and then drop numbers as they get quite busy!

Shall we post a thred on the normal board as some people won't look on here - ro don;t we want non local people to come! (In league of gentlemen scary voice!)

sophierosie · 19/03/2008 11:41

Well - give me a shout if you need anything when you're recuperating!

Saz126 · 19/03/2008 12:30

I thought that I smelt wee when we came to yours! he he only joking .
Yes, please shout if you need anything am only down the road - although you don't know where I am. Will host soon, the place is a tip at the mo - hopefully next few weeks.
Saz

Twinkie1 · 20/03/2008 08:48

Am moving to White Notley in a few weeks and saw Hatfield Peveral in your thread title in the active convos.

Is there lots of Essexy type people out there and do you mind if a newbie to the area comes along?

Mung · 24/03/2008 20:31

come along. We are all newbies really...only met a few times and each time someone 'new' has come along. When do you move? If you want we could try and meet up, in the day before then.

OP posts:
Saz126 · 25/03/2008 11:53

Yes, come along JamInMyWellies! Where are you moving from?

Mung · 25/03/2008 15:53

Shall I count you in Jaminmywellies?

OP posts:
JamInMyWellies · 25/03/2008 17:48

Think I might have to miss this one asthat is about 4 days before we move. Will be on for the next though.

SAZ am moving from East London, but have only been in London for a year or so. Before that have lived all over but this is to be our forver house. Hope I like living in the sticks

Will post when I move and hopefully I will be there for your next meet.

Mung · 25/03/2008 19:52

Ok Jaminwellies. Let us know how it all goes. Hope the packing and the boxes aren't too much of a nightmare.

Hi JIMW, we moved up from Buckhurst Hill must be 4 years ago this year. I am originally Kent girl but have to admit that I like living in Essex! The worst thing about living in the sticks are the noisy birds at 5am in the morning that are doing my head in. I actually opened the window in a rage at one this morning! he he. Hope to meet you soon xx

JamInMyWellies · 27/03/2008 17:19

I am not looking forward to the noisy birds found out a couple of weeks ago one of our new neighbours has chickens and a very noisy cockeral.

Twinkie1 · 28/03/2008 08:40

Hi JIMW we moved 8 months ago from SE London and I love it - have made loads of friends and the country life is deffo easier and more relaxed.

You get used to the birds - I live on the main thorough fare through our village and can sleep through a procession of HGVs passing my door now!

Hi everyone else - had op and feel like I have been on a date with Edward Scissorhands - Ouch!

Mung · 28/03/2008 09:28

Oh Twinkie...sounds awful! I hope its worth it . Let me know if you need anything.

OP posts:
sophierosie · 28/03/2008 10:52

Make sure you get lots of rest Twinkie - shout if you need anything!

JIMW - I moved from East London 4 years ago and haven't looked back!

I got woken up by the birds this morning at 2.46am - aargh - am going to get double glazing fitted!

Saz126 · 28/03/2008 14:28

What are they doing at 2.46am? Don't they sleep? I am on the warpath...am thinking of fitting those spikey things that they have in train stations to the top of our house so they can land here!
Twinkie, hope you're feeling ok!
sazx

sophierosie · 28/03/2008 19:29

God only knows - I think it was a break in the rain that started them off! Am hoping that the clocks changing will mean a lie in for them!

Mung · 30/03/2008 10:59

I don't notice the birds at all, it was the tractors going past at 5am that got me at first!

Table booked at Blue Strawberry for 8.15 on 10th April under my first name. I hope that is OK. I cannot leave the house before 7pm as still bf DD and they couldn't do anything before 8.15. We could meet there at 8ish.

With regards to getting there...
I dont mind driving, I can come into town and pick up SP and SR, I dont mind coming to pick up Saz and Twinkie too ... although that will be a squeeze in my little car!

It is possible to get there by train and we could all go by train if we all fancy a drink...

Anyway, let me know what you think...
