November Kendal meet-up

Hellooo fellow Cumbria people!

I'm Holmessweetholmes and I moved to Cumbria (near Milnthorpe) last month. There was quite an old thread with talk of a meet-up in Kendal. So does anyone fancy it?

I'm free Wednesay one week and Thursday the next (stupid two week teaching timetable! ) and have just discovered the delights of the Booths café. So who's in?

I'm up for that. Both days fine for me at moment! :)

I'm in Kendal. Last.month of mat leave (boo) so can go.wherever easier for all. Mornings I have one child afternoons I have both :)

Holmesweetholme what day of the week are you free next week/ week after? I can do both wed and Thursday next week. Prefer mornings or afternoons, ie not lunchtime as it's pre-school pick up.

Hello I can't do next Thursday unfortunately so weds is best for me.

Fine for me as long as ties in with feeding. May need to arrive slightly later but will aim for 10.30. Any good cafés anyone recommends that are baby friendly?

How about 10:30 in the Booths café? I just discovered it yesterday. It is massive and spacious with plenty of room for pushchairs etc.

Dammit. MN app doesn't seem to do an e with an accent on .

Good for me. Should we aim for the front bit? I'll be the one with the big purple pram and cute baby (very biased mum!)

Ooh I'll wear my MN scarf! (That leopard printy one that millions of MNers bought.) Excited that we've actually arranged this at last!

I won't be able to stay for tooo long as we are getting a new puppy this Sunday so I'd better not leave the little chap on his own for ages!

Have you all got Booths cards for your free coffee ?

Yes indeedy, Cragbound. I love Booths! I am forcing all family and friends who come visiting from down south to go to Booths so they can marvel and be jealous .

I'll be there with the booths card. Hopefully we'll grab the one sofa and won't be pushed out by the tens of extra tables they've added to the front part. Still, at least their more useful than the planks of wood that work there!.......

Sorry, can't contain my opinions ;) love supermarket hate cafe, although clearly still go so should be quiet! Can you tell I'm in hospitality?! Much better now the front is self service....
