Come on ladies (and gents!), there must be loads of us in Manchester! Where are all the meet ups? I am in South Manchester if anyone wants to say hello!

Suwoo - Thanks - thought that'd be it.

The real vegas is classy? Hmm

In comparison to Stalybridge Wink

I've heard 2 reasons for the name. The first, and most heard reason, is to do with the amount of pubs and clubs. I've been on a typical Vegas night twice in 6 years. The first, just to say I had, the second was on my hen night, we went for a curry, went to 2 pubs in Vegas, but by midnight we'd had enough and came home for a nice cup of tea :)

The 2nd reason which I prefer is that it was called Vegas long before the night clubs because of the amount of traffic lights there are on the roads around the town centre.

There are some lovely bits of Stalybridge, and some lovely pubs. The only one we go to in the town centre now is the Buffet bar.

Thanks bilblio, a friend told me it was because Johnny Vegas lives there and I knew that couldn't be right! Hmm

I've heard the pub in the rail station is good, despite initial appearances.
