Come on ladies (and gents!), there must be loads of us in Manchester! Where are all the meet ups? I am in South Manchester if anyone wants to say hello!

I'm norf Manchester, but wouldn't mind travelling for a meet-up.

fannyfoghorn · 11/02/2011 12:34

Nice one! It's near St. Anne's Square, I think.

CBS, shall we organise a separate day one for this or next half term for those who can't make the evening one(or who want to come to both)?

Is Longford Park walking distance from that place you mentioned in Chorlton?

topsmart · 11/02/2011 14:00

me! me! me! count me in!
but not until march as otherwise it's a bit of a commute Wink
happy to go anywhere, though will be living near longford park too

NinthWave · 11/02/2011 14:02

I'm up for a meet-up - can easily make the City centre by train, Didsbury I can only really do by day when the buses/direct trains are running (I don't drive).

I prefer the sound of the boozy evening option as it will give me an excuse to leave DH to deal with bedtime for my 3yo and 17 week old baby... (evil Grin)

NinthWave · 11/02/2011 14:04

Viv if you're the quiet sober one, then I'm the FirstProperNightOutSinceChildbirth one!

shinyblackgrape · 11/02/2011 14:09

Oooooh! Could I come? I don't have any sprogs though so understand if that is a problem.

However, live in Sale and getting married this year. Babies soon hopefully to follow so would love to meet up with you all

Viv I am 28 weeks monday :)

fannyfoghorn · 11/02/2011 15:15

March 16/17th or 23rd/24th? What suits everyone?

OP posts:
VivClicquot · 11/02/2011 15:46

And yep TSC, you were knocked up last time we went to Thomas' together :)

Sadly, none of those dates work for me as the Weds are my ante-natal classes (eek) and randomly, I'm working away from Manc on both those Thursdays. Could do most other Thursdays though. Or Tuesdays.

NinthWave · 11/02/2011 16:07

Either/any good for me (the joys of being on mat leave!)

Just having a nose on here! Can't join your meet-up as now down south but use to live in both Bramhall and Wilmslow. I miss it loads(apart from the damp!) Smile

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 16:47

I'll only come if you are all standing under neon arrows.

that's two of us then!

MissMarjoribanks · 11/02/2011 16:54

I'm inviting myself. Thursdays best for me if it's a day thing, but can always take a day off work.

Any evening is good.

Except not between the 11-15 March as we are on hols.

Happy to give lifts from Alty / Timperley / Sale unless we are boozing at the other end in which case we'll all have to get the tram together instead. Grin

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 16:55

tram then Grin

WelliBob · 11/02/2011 16:55

We have actually lived all over the uk and nowhere was as damp as the 2yrs we lived in Bramhall. Out entire garden was like one huge puddle, even in summer.

I do miss curry in Rusholme though. Nowhere else does the pink onions! Grin

MissMarjoribanks · 11/02/2011 17:00

Corny - I will be your tram stop buddy, we can both look like idiots searching for MNers in pubs. Grin

Welli - Stockport has its own weather system - constant drizzle. In fact I'm sure each of the Greater Manchester boroughs do - certainly changes as you whizz crawl round the M60.

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 17:02

great a tram buddy Grin

MissMarjoribanks · 11/02/2011 17:06
Grin
WelliBob · 11/02/2011 17:06

Grin Though people in Bramhall were always very touchy about being told they lived in Stockport! Grin Lots of signs saying Stockport that way kind of thing as if to reassure them they didn't actually live there. It use to make me laugh! Not that Wilmslow was any less up its own bum.

Though I don't have a leg to stand on as we then moved to the Home Counties.

Oh I could just go a Rusholme curry now. Yum!
