Hi,

I live in Greenwich, in GMV, near the 02. I am pregnant with my first baby and due on 2 June.

I would love to meet other mums to be and share stories and experiences.

Would anyone like to meet for a coffee sometime?

Jayne

Hi Jayne,

I also live in Greenwich/Lewisham area. Mine is due in May, would love to meet up, don't know any mums in the area yet!

Hi Jane, sorry for the late reply. We've been in the middle of moving so things have been hectic! It would be lovely 2 arrange a meet up. I was actually planning 2 attend a pregnancy yoga class on a Saturday,it's with Peaceful Practice. Drop in sessions so you're not obliged 2 go every saturday. Do u fancy it? If not we could meet 4 a decaf coffee! Neelam

Hi Neelam,

Just sent you a private message - hopefully it worked, if not let me know!

Hi Jayne and Nee - would love to join you both, if that's ok?

I'm due in May too, and haven't lived in Greenwich long, so don't know anyone yet. Are you both signed up for the NCT classes in Greenwich?

Nee1 · 16/02/2011 18:28

Hey Tigerbear,

Course it is ok to join us, the more mums the better!

Are those the NCT classes in Shooters Hill, I have signed up but noticed there were other intensive classes in Blackheath over 3 days, unsure which ones to book.

Are you having the birth in Lewisham? I was wondering what their antenatal classes were like. I'm also planning to go to Peaceful Practice Yoga, they have drop in classes on a Saturday.

Hello - another mum to be, expecting first baby at the beginning of May. I live by the Blackheath Standard and will be attending intensive NCT classes at the beginning of April (I hope that's not cutting it too fine!)

Am still working full time for another 6 weeks so can't do daytime meet-ups yet but having been going to the ante-natal swimming classes at the Arches on Thursday evenings - great exercise and not too strenuous!

Ruth

tigerbear · 17/02/2011 22:59

Hi Nee, great, look forward to meeting you. Should we do a day time meet, then another one in the evening some time, so Ruthie can come too? Let me know when is good. I work from home, so can be quite flexible.

The NCT classes we've booked are at the Mitre hotel in the centre of Greenwich. We've gone for the 3 day intensive course. Totally Shock at the price!

Where is Peaceful Practice? I've been quite bad and not done any exercise at all yet!

I'm having the baby way over in Euston at UCH, as we lived in Holborn before moving here, so started my midwife appointments there and have decided to stay there (bit scared at the thought of traveling there when in labour, as we don't drive!).

Ruthie I'd love to go swimming, but the thought of being seen in a swimming costume just fills me with horror! :)

GreenwichJayne · 19/02/2011 18:49

Hi,

Neelam and I are hopefully meeting for coffee sometime next week at Starbucks in Greenwich.
I would be happy for an evening meet so we can meet Ruthie too!

I'm booked onto the intensive NCT classes in Greenwich starting in April. Not sure whereabouts they take place though.

The swimming sounds good. I do pregnancy yoga over at Canary Wharf on a Wednesday evening and have really enjoyed it - especially the relaxation part!!

Hopefully see you all soon!

Hi everybody,

Also sorry for the late reply Jayne, have been at my in-laws this weekend and they have no internet access!

As Jayne has said, we are planning to meet for a coffee this week, we have decided on the Starbucks in Greenwich. Tigerbear is that a good location for you? What day would everyone like to meet, any day after tomorrow is fine with me. How about Wednesday?

We should definitely arrange an evening meet so Ruthie can come along too. Ruthie let us know when is a good time.

The Peaceful Practise is somewhere in Greenwich, I have been terrible with exercise as well. Have kept putting it off and now the third trimester is here!

Can't wait to meet everybody.

Neelam

ruthiespoon · 20/02/2011 19:34

I'm a teacher and it's half term so I'm not actually working this week! Wednesday daytime no problem and Starbucks in Greenwich sounds great. What sort of time?

Ruth

GreenwichJayne · 20/02/2011 21:36

Wednesday is good with me too!
Would 11am be ok for everyone? I can do anytime though!

What a coincidence Ruthie, I am also a teacher! 11am is great for me. Neelam

GreenwichJayne · 21/02/2011 18:13

Great, see you soon!
Look forward to meeting you all.

See you tomorrow at 11!

tigerbear · 26/02/2011 12:44

Oh, sorry I missed the meet up! :(
Haven't been on here as much as usual - we've had DH's brother and wife staying with us, with a 6 month old, 3 year old and a 4 year old! It definitely gave us an insight into how untidy our house will be in future! :)

If anyone wants to meet up again, please let me know.

ruthiespoon · 01/03/2011 10:25

I'm going to the NCT nearly new sale at John Roan School this Sunday (11am-1pm) we could go for a coffee before/ after?

Alternatively I'm free any evening next week or the week after from about 5pm onwards? Or the next few weekends... oh dear, it seems like I have no social engagements!!

Jayne - you said you couldn't make the NCT sale on Sunday - is there anything you specifically wanted? I'm happy to keep an eye open for you!

Nee1 · 01/03/2011 21:06

Hey Ruth, I'll be going to that sale as well. Coffee would be lovely. There is Bumps and Babies gathering with the Lewisham Nct, it is on the 12th of March at 11am in Ladywell. Hopefully that's not too far. I'm going with my husband and I think they have regular meets if anybody fancies it.

JW888 · 02/03/2011 17:14

Hi Jayne,

I also live in GMV, expecting my second baby in middle of April, my eldest is 14 months old. I have just started my maternity leave today, so I can meet up during the week. It will be lovely to meet some local mums, please let me know when you meeting up next time.

If anyone looking for antenatl yoga class near Westcombe Park, Kindness Yoga is very good, I have done 6 months antenatal yoga with them last time, found it very helpful. I'm starting again this week co's my M-I-L agree to look after my dd.

Hope to meeting all the lovely mum to be very soon.

GreenwichJayne · 03/03/2011 16:52

Hi all,

I am free most evenings except Wednesdays so happy to meet up again - it appears I do not have many social engagements either!!

Thanks for your offer Ruth, really kind of you I may be back in London now so think I will probably come along to the sale. If not and I think of anything I'll drop you a text.

I am also off on annual leave on 14th and 15th March so free during the day JW888. Not too long to go for you!

Jayne

I am up for another meet as well. Evenings are bit difficult at the moment because of work, but I could definitely do weekend.

Neelam

JW888 · 05/03/2011 17:44

Hi Jayne,

I have no plans on the 15th or 16th as well, my dd is still going to nursery until end of the month, I'm quite free during the day, can meet up for a coffee at the cafe in the village.

Regarding evening meet up, I can only do Wednesday or saturday, my mother-in-law is so kind to help me baby sitting twice a week, bless her, that make so much different. I cannot handle too much physical works at the moment, but dd is so full of energy.

Will try to get to the NCT nearly new sale tomorrow, really hope I can get a secondhand trike.

Jennifer

ThatScrotumCat · 05/03/2011 22:18
