I cannot do around 11 September as I am going to Bucharest for a party. I could do lunch on 25th, possibly, although it is DD's birthday and she wants to go to Disneyland.

Anyone else, before you all disappear for the summer?

Thanks for the PM thereistheball. I'm afraid I haven't replied yet as I'm not sure whether or not I'm free (can't remember if the CE trip to the circus is Saturday or Sunday ). As soon as DH and I have crossed paths for more than five minutes I will confirm this and let you know!

At present the plan is to meet for lunch at the Petit Palais cafe on Saturday 11th. Is everyone still OK with that? I have to say that I've looked at the menu and there is almost nothing on there that I can eat (am generally on a low-carb diet) - but it's no problem to put that to one side if everyone else is happy there. Please could you take a look (link on the page) and vote yes or no below? Other suggestions welcome too. Thanks!

If you are on a low-carb diet, maybe we should go to a Costes restaurant instead - their menus are always hyper diet friendly.

I'm easy and I eat most things too. So happy with the Petit Palais or anywhere else as long as it's reasonably central.

Should we have a back up restaurant planned? meet at Petit Palais and move onto lunch somewhere more 'lunch-y'?

Petit Palais truly a 'cafe'. Was the only place I could think of that was central, easy to find, easy to wait in if it was only a few of us and there were latecomers.

Feeling a bit cheap and guilty as Petit Palais has only sandwiches and salad, it's cold and this is our 'Christmas Lunch'!

I'm happy to move on to somewhere more lunchy, but I don't have any suggestions. Why don't we see what time everyone turns up and take it from there? If anyone knows of anywhere please feel free to suggest it, and book!

I am a bit of a country bumpkin in Paris and even though I found the Petit Palais I couldn't find anywhere to park. But I got lots of shopping done and filled up the car with pressies before my hellish 3.5 hr drive back to Chantilly! (It normally only takes, at most, 1.5 )
