Line drying laundry in the Middle East

I was hanging out washing today here in London and marvelling at how quickly it dried (about 27 today).

I've been wondering about places where is regularly 50. What do you do? Hang it out at night and bring it in very early? It would be too hot to do the pegging out in the daytime surely?

I have no good reason for asking just wondered!

@Chottie that’s really interesting. What were the other end of the pull lines attached to?

Sorry, I've only just seen your question. The other end of the pulley was attached to a tall pole fixed into the ground. The washing line was a double line, so one line was for hanging washing on and the other line was for pulling the first line backwards and forwards so you could hang out and take in the washing.
