Note to anyone moving to Australia - DON'T buy a Black car ... all the dirt shows up and you can't wash it ... well, you can go to the car wash but you shouldn't really.
DH has a silver car and you can's see the dirt so well.
When it rains he puts it in the rain ... then when it stops he goes out and washes it down with towels. Ponce.

white isn't too bad either - only when it is washed or rained on that you see how dusty it is.

we use the local carwash that recycles 90+% of its water.

Vancouver ALWAYS tops these polls...long-standing friend of mine is a Vancouverite...visited her a couple of years ago..she is concerened at Vancouver winning the 2010 Winter Olympics, as the world will see just how boring the place is!! Healthy, worthy....but very dull...

Hi DC, and hello to everyone from Calgary_ i'm from just north of there origionally. I think its fine if you're single, but not so much with kids. I'd go live in or around Melbourne in a heartbeat though!!!

oh Melbourne for sure. That's my favourite city. Spent quite a bit of time there back in the mid-nineties. Fantastic city. It kills Sydney.

nope. too far away I think. We kind of closed the door on Australia. I'm alright with that. I'm a big 'grass is always greener' person.

worked in perth - fantastic place, just bloody miles from anywhere else

would love to bring up little children there - but its quite illiberal and racist in a strange way, so perhaps not great for older ones
