Hi all. Used to be a regular on MN when I lived in London but since moving back to NZ have found it harder to make the connections due to all the brits being asleep when us down under are online! So if anyone is keen to start a thread for those of us in this predicament please reply! My DD has just turned 5 and started school last week (scary). Have just found out I'm expecting number 2 - due roughly Xmas day...

LOL at the idea of knowing much about weaning! It's become a bit of a hobby though, so am happy to bore chat about it.

I meant to say, MrsJC, the piggies were a huge success here too. I keep finding them in tucked up in "beds" around the house. It's only a matter of time before I sit on one....

Sure thing Buzzy. Might come armed with pencils and paper and you never know - they may sit nicely....
Whatshesaid - are you all geared up for trip. Whats LO doing physically? Is she going to stay put??? Hope you're feeling alright about it all.

Thanks for the meet up today, it was so nice to meet you Shells and Welliemum and to see you again Buzzy, I must say you all looked awfully good for Mums with littlies and one on the way!! Your Dds were just lovely...(sighs)...twas a pleasure, hope to do it again soon xx

Shells - starting to get ready for the trip now. Planning to take as little stuff as possible as I want to go shopping for dd while there.

Dd is not crawling yet but really wants to. She can kind of slide herself along the wooden floor. She was weighed again on Wed and is on 95th centile for weight (and height) so she may be a little later crawling as I don't think she can heave herself up onto all fours yet! Hopefully she won't suddenly work it out in the next week...

Bit apprehensive about getting to my mum's house but think it will be good for me to be there. My parents had a zillion books and I am going to get a fair few of them shipped over here as the books are what reminds me of them most...overriding memory of childhood is being taken to loads of second hand bookshops! I may ship over a few bits of furniture too.

The other driver has been charged with death by dangerous driving and we have a court date in September. Feel a lot calmer about it all than a couple of months ago...I guess you come to terms with these things.

Hope you all enjoyed the meet up today

WSS - lots and lots of good luck for the trip. i travelled with DS2 at that age and we spent a LOT of time in the toilets turning the taps on and off..... hmmmm.

KJM - lovely to meet you too. DS is a cutey. Hope to see you again.
