Thanks all, I didn't make it, she died while I was in transit. I kick myself for not just dropping everything and going but you can't put the clock back. I'm going to the morgue in the morning and then will be here for the funeral arrangements etc.... At least I'm here but I did think she would still be here. Just shattered, long flight and now can't sleep. ANyway at least I came back?

WhatSheSaid · 18/08/2013 22:34

Oh Sibble, I'm really sorry.

But, I have news!

WhatSheSaid · 19/08/2013 02:53

Guess!

WhatSheSaid · 19/08/2013 03:13

Pregnant or you've bought a house.

Or both? Grin

AngryBeaver · 19/08/2013 03:16

Both would be nice!!
But no house :)

AngryBeaver · 19/08/2013 03:17

Here begins the cacking of pants (I know, I know, I have a way with words!)

WhatSheSaid · 19/08/2013 03:18

If I can revert to being 7 for a minute, that is ACE! (apart from the no house, obv)

AngryBeaver · 19/08/2013 03:21

It isinnit, wss! Double ace!
BUT, a long road ahead, with many MANY, tests, scans and procedures...that's if I don't mc first!

Sooo, trying to stay calm (failing!)

Me too frick...but cautiously so :)

WhatSheSaid · 19/08/2013 06:21

How does it work for scanS etc, AB? Do you have to come off the island for them?

giantpenguinmonster · 19/08/2013 07:14

Sibble, I'm so sorry. I'm sure your family are glad to have you there.

AB- congrats and I have everything crossed for you.

AngryBeaver · 19/08/2013 08:22

Well I THINK they can do ultra sounds on the island.
But I'll have to go to hospital for the CVS if they am do that then the amino.
And probably for some other stuff too.

(All if I get to 10 weeks)

I think I'll be under a specialist (oo-er!...sorry cant resist!) due to the nature of previous pregnancies.
The dr here told me to see her "immediately" when I found I was pregnant, so seeing her tomorrow.
Take it from there.

BBQWidow · 19/08/2013 09:04

So sorry for your loss, Sibble. I hope that you are able to take some comfort from your family and spending time with them xx

Congrats AB!

lollystix · 19/08/2013 19:23

Oh Sibble - so sorry. You haven't had it easy this year at all.

AB - massive congratulations on your lovely news.

Yes I saw the number thing and it make a bit of sense. The house we lost was 34 and there was only is and one other bidder which really surprised me.

giantpenguinmonster · 20/08/2013 07:26

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the next house you like is number 13 lolly.

I've just sent a stroppy email to DD's childcare. The parents have always been really dangerous about parking and driving too fast in the car park but have recently started parking on the pavements next to the carpark if it is full. It's annoying cos they often block the pavement and it's a very pedestrian area. Tonight one had parked half on the grass and half on the pavement so I walked DD past the car without having to go on the road. Except the driver started up and was moving towards us before she looked around. We were alongside her so if she had move 0.5 m she would have hit us. Then she drove along the pavement behind us, across about 4 houses before pulling out onto the road again.

AIBU? She gave me quite a fright and driving behind me was intimidating. There is a public carpark across the road! Maybe It's a kiwi thing and I just need to suck it up.
