I just laid out $350 for school uniform! Plus, I think it's $170 per child donation.

Yes, ther are lots of woo people, but I'm sure loads of great people.
I just feel a bit shell shocked I think. Need a bit of time to find my feet.
Ok, mermaid next door. Completely lovely.
Attractive older lady, very normal in most ways. Then she drops into convo that she is a mermaid, and shows me her (silicone) tail drying over the bath! She dons it each day and swims the bays! She offered no explanations and I didn't ask. I assumed she just enjoys it so thinks "fuck it,why not!"
She has been so lovely to us, gave us flowers the first day.
And when ds1 had vomiting bug on Monday, she stayed with him while I took dd to school (dh had already left on ferry) So she can be whatvever she likes and I will still love her!
Then she and her husband asked us for tea, and fed the kids. Just absoloutely lovely.
I think I will have to learn to be more accepting of people and their quirks.
Maybe here will be good for me. We will see.
