My dh has been on at me for a year to move from the uk.He wanted Quebec, which looked gorgeous and romantic, but i wasn't sold on the winters and coudn't leave my mum.
He recentley said he wanted to move to NZ and i thought ,yeah if it's warm and a better life than here, let's do it.
So we've got fuck all money and 3 kids under 4.5 ...but we want to do it.
I don't know what's changed in me for me to agree ,but I hear th schools and hospitals are fab,and just want the best life for my lovely children.
I'm worrying though because I've read the houses are crap and cold.
We want sun, space and not too expensive (don't we all!)
We thought Tauranga, but that seems quite busy and we've read about boy racers.
We don't want Wellington as we've heard it's windy and weather not great.
Does anyone know about Nelson?Heard it's nice weather, but what's the reality?
We are going to put the house on the market this week,I am shitting myself, but I feel it's now or never.
Any help or advice,gratefully recieved

Sorry to hear that AB.

lollystix · 23/08/2011 22:24

Sorry Angry. Sad

Highlander · 24/08/2011 07:44

Sorry AB Sad

Keep trying. I lost count of how many jobs I applied for.

Is there anything you can do to boost yoour points?

AngryBeaver · 24/08/2011 22:00

Thanks. It's just really disheartening, isn't it? Nothing we can do to boost the points apart from one of us doing a Masters. We need the job offer.Tis proving a lot more illusive than was first anticipated, however.
We really want to get out there before the baby comes,so we have awindow of a few months. Dammit, why's it so hard?!

AB- you may want to watch this thread. Am I remembering right that you are a journalist?

Sorry, been in the Lakes for a while,no internet access there,
plus, having my head down the toilet most of the time renders me unable to look at MN!Smile
Yes,kiwi when I work, that is what I do (and dh). I will peruse thaat thread when the youngest go down for naps.
Dh applied for another position for which they said he was massively overqualified, but have forwarded his cv to HR to see if they can fw it on(still with me?!)to anyone relevant. It's the only iron in the fire at the moment,so nothing promising Sad
