Hope everyone doing okay? It’s a lovely here in Cheshire, so despite my mouth being stuck together, the fatigue, the bowel issues, the aches, the upset tummy, I AM going to cut the hedge! 😂😂 Oh and put up my bunnies new play pen in the garden.

I. Saw those bunnies on yr Facebook they are delightful and strange.

i nearly died. It clotted off and they transferred me the minute she moved my dressing it just spouted out she kept telling me I will probably lose my leg if it’s infected. For weeks I’ve been complaining about the smell. Anyway I’m here this morning still with my leg. I have a stent in I’m dreading standing up.

My leg now of course is blowing up because that lymphatic fluid for some reason can’t get out of the hole

@EachandEveryone it sounds awful, is it very painful? I hope they're prompt with the pain relief of it is.
I hope everyone else having pain and discomfort has had some respite today.
My chemo seems to be going okay low Magnesium again.🙄 . Yesterday when they were doing my picc care try tried a new dressing because they have had a lot of reactions to Allevin so far so good. I was too sleepy yesterday to ask the name but I will check next time. I feel asleep during the whole of my session yesterday my nephrostomy was fit to burst when I woke up!

Just had chemo. My cancer marker has gone up slightly. So currently I’m catastrophising that the chemo has stopped working.
A sensible person would think it’s ok, and within the limits of the sensitivity of the blood test.
Time will tell

@RedRosesPinkLilies You are worried about something that is sadly our experience Catastrophising is being very worried about something we have no previous experience or evidence for.
I'm not sure if that makes it any easier but your worries are very normal and not irrational at all. I think we all need to let ourselves of the hook for something! Having said all that let's hope it's a one off anomaly and not a trend.
I went out for a lovely drink with a friend earlier but god it was hot . Time for a snooze before parents evening tonight. X

I keep looking at my report everyone says that the cancer is wrapping around my arteries so why aren’t the departments talking to each other so it take a massive haemorrhage to get their attention?

anyway the blood is old but still plentiful the surgeons are happy to discharge but I’m not going home I have arterial lines and a catheter in I’m terrified and will
make sure I stay til the bleeding stops. Now the community nurses have rang me and said I need a new referral so I have that to sort out as well before I leave. I will be interested to know if the fluid coming out will be less than before.

my family are coming from Yorkshire today I’m very excited.

Stand your ground @EachandEveryone it doesn't sound like you should go home without proper aftercare is in place. I hope you had a lovely visit with your family.
I've got my mid cycle scan today scan anxiety has kicked in.

Im okay (thanks for asking @RedRosesPinkLilies) Had an MRI last night. 40 minutes in a noisy tunnel. I was thinking, there’s a job for one of Alan Sugars apprentices: design and create a SILENT MRI scanner, I will be happy to try and test them all!! 🤣

Mouth is sore again and feeling tired, other than that, unless I get a call from hospital to bombard more shitty news at me, I don’t set foot in a clinical setting for over a week! 🕺🕺🕺

We have to manage our emotions so much, don’t we? There is so much to having cancer - no one knows till they are in that situation

How are you? Are you getting anything for your mouth. Years ago a Dr specialising in palliative care told me pineapple juice was good for dry mouth. Maybe even some ice cubes made from it would be good to suck on?

@RedRosesPinkLilies you are of course genius! Currently pouring pineapple juice into my new ice cube trays right now! Anything to alleviate the feeling of swallowing nails. 🤞🤞🤞x

@Enigma53 frozen watermelon sometimes helps or frozen bananas.

Just waiting for surgery. They are going to do something like put a drain in or a colonoscopy bag.
