There are two court orders, including one from the High Court that say my ex is not allowed to have my address. I moved here to get away from him, away from all my friends, changed my car, phone, not on electoral role.

Anyway the court have accidentally put my address (in bold capitals no less) on an order that was sent to him.
What can I do :(

I'm hoping that everything will be ok, OP. I'm aghast at what I'm reading here.

Hoping everything will be ok op.

This is a data breach and they could be fined big ££. In my line of work [legal] if we send confidential stuff to wrong solicitors etc we could be fined in excess of £300,000k.

I know thats not your priority at the moment, but you must bring it to the attention of the court and make a formal complaint.

This must be nearly twenty years ago, and it happened to someone I worked with not me so this is tenuous but it may be something.

I worked at the County Court. Someone sent out papers involved in an adoption to the biological parents showing the adoptive parents' address and there were really good reasons for not giving that address. The court ended up paying removal costs. The legally qualified ones on here will be able to put me right, but surely if the Court's action has caused you problems then it is up to the Court to put it right. It's so long since I was there I am out of touch, but it may be something to aim for if that is what you want.

Wishing you all the luck in the world.

wow.

easy for me to say but i'd make a complaint. totally understand about not wanting to highlight it, but it does need to be addressed. if you don't do anything you'll be stewing.

Hi
I've just phoned the court and they've told me that apparently an amended order was sent out to my ex that didn't show my address. I'm really hoping that is the case but it doesn't explain why on this occasion or in my copy my address was in the body of the order so I'm still worried. But I guess there's not much else I can do but wait and see.
Thanks again for all your replies
