Calling Mumblechum, please! Or advice on my late mum's house and possessions

but several people have suggested I contact mumblechum as being the expert!!

Now that I have a copy of the land registry details it hasn't given me any more details on whether the house is owned exactly 50/50 or a different split. How could I find that out?

What does the entry under 'Proprietorship register' say exactly? Can you type it out?

I'm going out shortly and won't be back til quite late, but if you type out the exact wording under Proprietorship Register then someone can tell you what the ownership situation is - if not, I will look when I get home later.

It says:
TITLE ABSOLUTE
1 (09.07.1997) PROPIETOR: G.... and MY MUM of their address

Hi Nappy,

If the property is held as Tenants in Common, the Office Copies will say something along the lines of:

RESTRICTION; No disposition by a sole co owner under which property arises

If that isn't there, then the property is held as joint tenants, and the deceased's share passes to the survivor of them.
