Afraid I don't know the British law system well enough to comment on thar. I only know that Keir Starmer was a barrister and then head of public prosecutions before he became Labour leader. The gaps in the law are what he is saying and he wants the government to sort this quickly. Then the head of police cameout today and seems to be saying that is one of the issues too.

I do agree they need to be better at arresting the ones they can charge. I just think sometimes when say they have hundreds of protesters and not enough police they have to take there own and everyone elses safety into account. Large crowds can turn nasty very quickly. These types that we are seeing have already assaulted police officers at least twice in two weeks that I know about.

Dear lord, @BlurredEdges - that's just shocking. You should feel safe in your own city. I think it's up to us non Jews to be vigilant, to call out antisemitism and to make more of an effort to support our Jewish neighbours and colleagues. All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.

Thank you. Trying and failing to explain on this thread, but there's no point- most people don't care (present company an honourable exception)

Not sure how much longer I can keep up the fight, even online. My personal and professional life is falling apart and this is the root cause. 😥

Why does the U.S fund Israel? They give billions every year....

Ok, I stand corrected. I'm an outsider looking in. If Israelis also talk in that way, then that's inexcusable, and they're dehumanising others.
Just awful, no justification.

It is absolutely wrong when it happens, but it's a tiny, tiny minority and most Jews/Israelis reject it completely.

It's so depressing isn't it?

I post on threads and then kick myself for doing it because I know people aren't going to listen / don't care. I just end up sadder and angrier.

I'm just having a moan now but I'm so utterly sick of the deliberately emotive and provocative language and questions. "Open air prison" "how many children is it ok to murder " etc. etc.

I have so much respect the people who keep on trying, posting calm and rational responses. You are stronger than me.

I'm pretending that I have an ignore button. I have about 10 people already on it.

Same.

I realise this is quite cryptic but I don't think I'll ever be able to eat a mango ever again, and certainly not 3.

Hahaha. How did you guess? Literally number 1 on the list.

Absolutely. Banned fruit.

Their posting history reveals that they are not only an antisemite but a homophobe, and most worryingly, that they are a TA in a school in the UK.

G-d help any Jewish, gay or bisexual pupils there.

I am hoping they have made up the working in a school thing

Unfortunately I don't think so. They created a whole thread wanting advice on a career change. Terrifying, isn't it.
