September IVF / Care fertility

I am starting IVF for the first time with care fertility.

I am due on in the next couple of days and have to contact them on day 1 of my cycle, I’m not sure if this is the same with most clinics? But I’ve worked the dates out and we would be doing stims in September as they like to batch people together.

Is anyone else starting in August/ September time or having IVF with care?

I thought I’d start a thread on the off chance anyone is/has and wants to chat about their experience!

that is very typical as most clinics usually book in baseline scans from your cycle day 1 :) don't worry, you are on the right path!!

Hi, i was searching for this post. I started stimulation 21august ( day1) so early days still. I am having mild stimulation 300 units menopur injection with letrazole. How are you all getting on? My first scan tomorrow- i have low AMH and poor reserve. So if i get one embryo to transfer i would still be happy.

I don’t start actual stims till later in September because of the way my clinic use notethisterone to batch cycles together which I’m starting to take next week. So at the moment, it just feels like every day is going so slowly waiting!

Is this your first ever retrieval? I will keep my fingers tightly crossed for you! Let me know how you’re finding it as you progress

We have just been referred to them, can I ask if you are NHS or Private. I am slightly confused as we have been set up on the app but there is noting on there. Just wondering how long it takes from being referred/having app set up to actually having first appointment

It probably depends which care clinic you are with? As I think different care clinics approach it differently.

We are NHS with the Manchester clinic. I think it took a few days for them to schedule an appointment after we initially spoke to them maybe up to a week max. But they are very responsive which is good so if you’re unsure, just give them a message on the salve app or give them a call and they will get back to you with information on next steps.

Though other care clinics may take longer to get back to you.

the 2026 evidence on rescue IVM and rescue ICSI, including the possibility of maturing immature eggs in the laboratory.

patients should ask their fertility team about their approach to immature and unfertilised eggs.

has anyone done this? Getting your immature eggs to mature then rescue icsi?

I haven’t heard of this before but I’m replying so maybe someone else will see the question

I asked my dr this morning- she said yes they do wait on an egg to mature overnight if it wasnt mature then attempt ICSI if it does. So thats reassuring.

That’s good information to know, hope your egg retrieval went okay!

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this!

Was this your first try? Hopefully they could adjust the protocol for next time, I’ve heard people say the first go is a bit of an experiment to find what works .
