September IVF / Care fertility

I am starting IVF for the first time with care fertility.

I am due on in the next couple of days and have to contact them on day 1 of my cycle, I’m not sure if this is the same with most clinics? But I’ve worked the dates out and we would be doing stims in September as they like to batch people together.

Is anyone else starting in August/ September time or having IVF with care?

I thought I’d start a thread on the off chance anyone is/has and wants to chat about their experience!

I was on the same, minus the blood thinners.

If you have the pre filled fyremadel syringes, there was a few tips I found useful to know.

Meriofert needles goes in super easy, the fyremadel needles are slightly blunter which makes them a tiny bit harder to go in. But what helped:

  • Ice the area before hand, wipe with an alcohol wipe then inject
  • use a 45 degree angle, instead of the 90 degree on these so slightly down facing
  • I found them easier in my stomach than my thigh - maybe depends where your fatter area is
  • if you look very closely at the needle end, it’s slanted with a sharper point. I tried it with the sharper point at the top, and at the bottom and I definitely found holding it at the top went in easier.

Thank you - I really appreciate your tips.

I hope the rest of your protocol goes well :)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to join as we’ve just had our first consultation last Monday at Care Woking.

We’re hoping to start my next cycle but still waiting for their patient services to contact me to see if we can get the medication in time.

Feeling really nervous but hopeful!
