Thought I would start a thread as can't see one already
Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

Good luck for tomorrow evening @Klmno🩷🩷 will keep a look out for your update x

Klmno · 19/11/2025 19:51

Yeah it's actually crazy how tomorrow night will be either absolute joy or complete crushing disappointment, there really is no in between! Ordered an ultra early digital as I just need the answer spelt out, nothing sadder than desperately hunting for a like that isn't there, is there?!
I'm pretty sure I think it's failed but occasionally get a flutter of hope/think maybeeeeee it's worked.

Omg really so much of it is out of our control and it's all down to luck but we put so much pressure on ourselves don't we!!

Does your period have to have started by that date or does the actual transfer have to have happened?

I knowwww & I hope sooo much that you’re having massive celebrations tomorrow 🤞🏼❤️ I have also thought the same about getting an early clear blue one when the time comes so it’s just spelled out for me rather than second guessing faint lines. The last cycle we tried before IVF I got a clear as day (albeit faint) line on a boots test and thought that was it.. then every other test was negative so I think it must have been faulty, it was awful!

my period needs to have started by 27th. It’s due on 22nd and with these pills to induce it, it comes pretty bang on so if it’s not arrived by then then something strange would have to be going on. Just got to wait for it now, but with this type I don’t really get any pms or symptoms it’s coming, it just comes out of nowhere so I’ll just have to sit tight!! Ha xx

Klmno · 20/11/2025 13:30

Thank you @pastelheart and @AnonTTC . So stressed and nervous. On my break at work and trying to picture it saying 'Not pregnant' so it won't hit me like a tonne of bricks, but then the thought creeps in 'but what if it says pregnant?' lol. Hope is cruel! Seems like ages until the end of my shift (I finish at half 8) and then a long drive home too.

@AnonTTC ah sounds like you should be pretty safe for it to start on time but I'm sure it will be a relief when it's here! And next milestone ticked off!

Ahhh, I feel like I am in suspense with you!! 🤣 I bet work is dragging whilst you wait, but fingers crossed the rest of your day goes quickly. I've done the same thing as you in the past imagining both scenarios to try and prepare myself, ha. But like you say, I think no matter what we do we hold on to the hope don't we?

Look forward to hearing your update and keeping everything crossed ❤️🤞

& thanks.. I've actually got quite a few cramps etc today so maybe it's on it's way sooner than I thought! Feels crazy that we might start the patches this weekend!!

babycoconut · 20/11/2025 19:23

@Klmno keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

Klmno · 20/11/2025 21:12

Ugh it was negative, which I kind of expected.
Devastated but feel a bit numb tbh, such an agonising wait just for nothing.
Grateful to have more embryos but this is shit.
No idea how I'll find the strength to do it all again but I guess we just have to find the strength somewhere don't we during this journey

I’m so sorry 😥💔 even if you’ve tried to expect/anticipate it, it doesn’t make it hurt any less. The waiting and hoping for it to just be a hard no is devastating. It’s so positive that you have more embryos but it doesn’t take away the pain of this one. Try not to think too far ahead - you will find strength you didn’t know you had when the time comes and it will be worth it ❤️ sending you a really big hug.

AnonTTC · 20/11/2025 22:30

Ditto to everything @babycoconut said. Im
so sorry @Klmno , sending lots of love & hugs ❤️

I know you won’t feel like it right now but you will definitely find the strength. For now though, be kind to yourself and take it easy. This rubbish journey is full of so many difficult twists and turns isn’t it 😔 xx

Klmno · 20/11/2025 22:38

Thank you ladies, it's definitely helped talking about it all on here and I appreciate the support.

Trying to tell myself it takes an average of 3 transfers and not everyone can be lucky on first transfer.

I guess if in two months another two have failed, the statistics might mean we should think about investigating my fibroids more invasively but for now I just have to hope it's a numbers game. One no closer to a yes hopefully!

@AnonTTC our timelines might be really similar these next few weeks, or at least the tww (I'm not medicated other than progesterone support so not sure though). Maybe we will end up keeping each other company!

OP posts:
pastelheart · 20/11/2025 22:57

@Klmno I am really sorry. You will find the strength to go again and I have everything crossed that that ones works out differently. Treat yourself to something lovely that you may enjoy over the next few days xxx

camelinastorm · 21/11/2025 06:02

@Klmno so sorry to hear this, take time for yourself and look forward, I know it's so hard with such devastating news

BellaTink647 · 21/11/2025 09:36

@Klmno really sorry to read your news. sending you lots of positive vibes. As others have said, just be kind to yourself and take whatever time you need to digest it.

I've been keeping an eye on everyone's updates, just keeping quiet as haven't had much to say on our journey. Its still comforting to know everyone is here ♡

We're doing FET and today I had my scan to check lining. Unfortunately it isn't thick enough yet so feeling disappointed this morning as was hoping for transfer next week. They're increasing my oestrogen and I'll go back for a scan on Tuesday. So hopefullyyy it will mean only pushing things back by about 5 days. But it's hard when you've had certain dates in your head isn't it! Can't help but become fixed on those particular dates.

Klmno · 21/11/2025 11:17

Thanks ladies. I actually don't feel too sad today, trying to have an onwards and upwards attitude. Probably helped just thinking it had failed from a few days in. Found out we can go again with this period so just waiting for it to start. Feels better than the long wait I faced after my freeze all. At least we can have another try straight away. Maybe I will get a Christmas miracle! 🤞🏻

@BellaTink647 sorry to head about your lining. It's just one lonnnngggg waiting game sometimes isn't it. I joke to myself I will be the most patient mum EVER after all this waiting 🤣(I'm naturally quite impatient).

OP posts:
AnonTTC · 21/11/2025 11:24

So glad you're not feeling to down @Klmno , that's great to hear and your onwards and upwards attitude is amazing ❤️ Like you say, it's a huge shame it didn't work out this time but the culminative stats are incredible so when you see the odds after 2 transfers it gives lots of hope.

Amazing news you can go again this cycle!! That must massively help knowing you're not waiting around and can start the process again over the next couple of days. when do you think your period will arrive? We might very well be on a similar timeline!! That would be nice to keep each other company (/sane!!) Mine has come this morning but very light so the hospital might ask me to wait until tomorrow before requesting treatment

camelinastorm · 21/11/2025 11:37

@BellaTink647 did they say how thick it was, it's so crazy all the different things that need to align and within range

I am due my transfer tomorrow super scared as getting to the end of our embryos

AnonTTC · 21/11/2025 15:37

Sorry to hear your scan didn't go as planned @BellaTink647 but keeping everything crossed that lining gets to where it needs to be for you. I know what you mean, you count down to these big dates don't you so it's really hard.

Good luck tomorrow @camelinastorm - hope everything goes well for you ❤️ xx

BellaTink647 · 21/11/2025 22:32

@Klmno so glad you are doing ok. That is great news that you can try again so soon.

@camelinastorm I think she said it was 5.6 and and they like it to be 8. So doesn't sound wildly off but who knows!?

Klmno · 21/11/2025 23:33

@AnonTTC they said a few days for period, so now that weird feeling of wanting it to come, which contradicts the entirety of the last 2 yrs haha 🤣

Good luck @camelinastorm ! Let us know how it goes

Drink loads of beetroot juice and pomegranate juice @BellaTink647 I've read that's good for lining!!

OP posts:
pastelheart · 22/11/2025 10:06

@BellaTink647 during my ivf cycle I drank two pomegranate smoothies a day and I made up the yummiest one ever:

pomegranate juice (at least 200ml)
blueberries
pineapple
peanut butter
banana
strawberry protein powder (2 scoops)

10/10 and I might go make one now just because it’s reminded me how good it was!

good luck to everyone having/had transfers! Can’t wait to follow along… I hope you don’t mind me following along still as the support I had in this group helped so much through my cycle xox

Klmno · 22/11/2025 16:02

@pastelheart love the sound of this, gonna give it a go. I adore anything with peanut butter in it!! Of course you are very welcome to follow along and thank you for supporting us still!!

@camelinastorm how did transfer go?

I started my period today so I'm pleased that's another wait over and can vaguely figure out when ovulation and transfer might fall. Clinic said it might be more painful due to the progesterone but so far it's not too bad

What's your timescale looking like @AnonTTC, I have no idea how medicated cycles go

OP posts:
Klmno · 22/11/2025 16:03

P.s. @pastelheart do you just put it all in a blender/food processor?

OP posts:
camelinastorm · 22/11/2025 16:06

@Klmno went really well my best one yet hopefully that's a good sign, I don't know why but I'm totally exhausted after a transfer I've literally slept all day

pastelheart · 22/11/2025 17:01

@Klmno yes! Straight in the blender, I did add ice to it as well… but this was back in September so as it’s freeeezing now you may want to skip the ice 😂 I added strawberries too but I haven’t seen any in our supermarket for a while so if you can get some add them too xxx

Klmno · 22/11/2025 17:24

@camelinastorm that's wonderful news! Fingers crossed little embryo gets all snug.
I bet you're wiped cuz of all the stress and adrenaline it involves!

@pastelheart will give it a go! Thanks!

OP posts:
BellaTink647 · 22/11/2025 17:56

Thanks for the tips guys. Will definitely be giving the smoothie a go @pastelheart. It's great you're still here following and supporting :)

Glad it went well @camelinastorm keeping everything crossed for you!
