Hi guys!

Just wondered if anyone was doing IVF I started my long protocol end of October and had egg retrieval today

It's not my first time doing this and can take a toll so just looking for some positive vibes.

It's always good to hear others stories as well and know your not alone

Hello @Coco86! I had my egg retrieval in Oct. I did a freeze all cycle with PGS testing so just waiting for those results before deciding next steps. I hope your egg retrieval went well! Sending lots of positive vibes!

@Coco86 I got quite low egg numbers too! 6 retrieved and just 4 mature but miraculously all 4 fertilised and made it to blasts (2 x day 5, 2 x day 6). I was super anxious with every phone call from the lab (and who knows whether we’ll have any euploid). Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

@TheUmberPanda I had low numbers but got 2 that fertilised so happy with that only takes 1 so they say. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well for you got my transfer next week so feeling positive hope we both get the our babies

Hello 👋 I did IVF 2 years ago, we had 4 make it to blast and transferred 1 which is now DD. Back again to do a FET. Taking trigger today so transfer next Friday.

Do you have a date for tranfer? @Coco86

How long does the testing take? @TheUmberPanda

Hi @Autumn245 good luck with your FET next week! I was told the testing would take 2-3 weeks but it was a bit quicker than that - about 12 days. We had good news, 3 out of 4 were normal, I was so surprised and relieved!

Aww that's great news @TheUmberPanda will you be transferring one back in soon or do you think you'll wait until after Christmas/New Year?

@Autumn245 my transfer is Monday so excited but nervous hoping they are both going strong, good look with your transfer Friday ☺️

@Coco86 @Autumn245 I think we’re going to do the transfer in the new year - my cycle clashes with the lab’s Xmas closing time so it sounds like it might be early Jan. I’m really happy with the results - but still so anxious about the whole thing!

Hi all. Just joining as we are doing our second cycle. Had a scan yesterday and 2 good follicles and 2 small follicles. I have low amh and only had 3 follicles last time so this was no real surprise. Have a second scan to see how they are doing on Monday before egg collection date is agreed, likely to be next week.

hope you are all doing well on your journey. Sounds like some positive numbers so far

@wishinghard2 2 follicles is still good, I did I cycle when I only got 2 which resulted in a positive test, unfortunately I did MC that one but shows numbers don't matter. This cycle I only had 3 follicles as well, anther cycle i got 9 eggs and ended with the same amount of embryos when I got lower numbers. Good luck with your collection let us know when it is sending you positive vibes ✨

@Coco86 thank you. We got two eggs collected this morning so keeping our fingers crossed that at least one fertilises. It will be a long 24 hours waiting for that call. My last cycle we had two eggs collected and one fertilised and that also resulted in a positive but early loss so you are right when you say about the numbers! Quality over quantity so they say!

@TheUmberPanda I may be a transfer in the new year as well, due to risk for OHSS. Trying to see the positive in that I can have a few wines in December 🎄

Hi @Cosyseason1234 how are you getting on with the stims? This was my first cycle too - I found all the injections not as bad as I thought they’d be, but very bloated by the end! Good luck for your EC on Weds!

I’m currently in post-EC cycle waiting to ovulate, which seems quite delayed! I think all the IVF meds have thrown my cycle off a bit…. trying and failing to be patient and not obsessively google what’s going on!

@TheUmberPanda @Cosyseason1234 thank you it went really well not the hardest part waiting, all the meds have made me very emotional this time round so trying to stay positive and not be an emotional reck lol, Good look to both of you on your collection and nothing wrong with doing the transfer after Christmas just try to relax enjoy Christmas and recover from EC then your body will be in perfect shape for your transfer 🩷

@TheUmberPanda I was really dreading stims as I am prone to migraines and I found the northesterone dreadful but actually have found them fine. No symptoms really except I feel very full same as you! Lots of energy as well so can’t complain. On no not Dr Google 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am my own worst enemy for this and have put myself in the horrors several times during this journey. I have had a scan this morning and they may be moving EC to Monday,I am eagerly awaiting the call!

@Coco86 so glad the transfer went well,got everything crossed for you. Lots of self care and take everyday as it comes 🧖‍♀️ I am planning to book an exotic holiday for 2025 if it doesn’t work for us,not to be negative just to have a new focus. Ivf is hard!

Hey @Cosyseason1234 how you getting on? I’m scheduled for egg collection on Monday too! Had my day 10 scan this morning and had 16 follicles over 12mm and another 25 below, so just waiting for a phone call now to tell me when to trigger.

Hey @Anonneom those numbers are amazing! Are you doing fresh transfer? The nurse has just called me,they are happy with my blood results so want me to carry on with stims and go for another scan Monday with EC on wed as planned. I’m not sure what the exact numbers were but she said they are really good on both ovary so fingers crossed. Is this your first cycle?

@Cosyseason1234 yeah, first cycle. The fresh transfer will depend on the egg retrieval numbers. There’s still a few days for more to grow and my clinic won’t do a fresh if there’s more than 20 so it’s a fine line really. We won’t know until after the egg collection.

Thanks for the well wishes. Had transfer today which went well, the consultant seemed pleased with the placement in uterus, so guess it's just a waiting game now. Test day is 15 days after transfer at my clinic so 7th December. I already know I'll be testing early 😂

Hi everyone. Glad to hear very everyone is progressing well. A quick update that we had one egg fertilise and so got called in today for a D2 transfer. Like my last cycle they said with just one egg they would rather get it back into is natural environment quickly. It was a grade 4/4 though so now we wait and keep our fingers crossed!

we went for embryo glue this time. Has anyone had this?

@Autumn245 same transfer day! Our test date is 5th and 7th so we will be in this wait together!

@Anonneom good luck for egg collection on Monday. Will they fit in a transfer next month if you have to do a FET?

@wishinghard2 yey tranfer buddy! I had embryo glue last time, they did it as standard with NHS, but there was no mention of it this time and I forgot to ask!
