Starting a new thread for those now on a freeze all from May and any others x

@Gnatalie16
@EvaA17
@Seasidegirll

Hope you're all feeling ok post EC. 💕
Has anyone had any idea of timescale when the withdrawal bleed will be and how many periods before the FET cycle?

@SideEyeMoon oh wow, that definitely looks like a line to me! Eeek tentative congratulations to you!

Congratulations to everyone else getting their positives so far as well, I hope those lines all keep getting stronger! 😍

And good luck @Becky105 and @LeoStar24 with your transfers!

I’ve gone down a bit of a worry spiral myself - has anyone else got endometriosis or know anyone that’s got endometriosis and managed to get pregnant with ivf? I’ve done way too much googling and I’ve got myself into a worry that because I haven’t had surgery for it that I don’t have much chance. So I’m just looking for any reassurance/hope if possible I guess x

LeoStar24 · 28/07/2024 09:47

@EvaA17 - thank you! We are at CRGH so in the car is takes about 30-40mins, it is at 12:40pm! A couple of days left!

@Sunnydaysahead1 - thank you so much! I am excited but also quite scared too. This is my first round of IVF and FET so I don't know what to expect in terms of symptoms!

Indigopantha · 28/07/2024 15:25

@SideEyeMoon I can see a faint line! That’s very exciting I hope it keeps getting stronger!

thanks for all the advice on tests, I’ve gone for the pink early response, arrive on Weds!

Can I check if your clinics all said you can’t swim in the TWW? I’m going to my friends for a bbq and they have an outdoor pool, might look. Bit strange if I’m the only one not swimming, also would just be lovely to swim in this heat! Anyone else been given this advice?

Indigopantha · 28/07/2024 15:51

I’m just wondering if it’s because of the risk of infection or chlorine? I’m going to just sit on the side most likely and dip my legs in, not worth taking the risk and then if we had a negative result I would wonder if that was why.

kirstysmbc · 28/07/2024 15:53

@Indigopantha My clinic said no swimming in the first five days post transfer, but ok after that. Not sure why, but I know my clinic are quite strict about what you can't do - they told me not to climb too many stairs or pick up my toddler which my U.K. clinic said was fine...

Goldpanther · 28/07/2024 19:08

@Indigopantha
My clinic also advised no swimming, baths, sauna, hot tub etc due to both infection risk, and risk of raising core body temperature too high. For 5 days post transfer.

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 19:30

Hi @kirstysmbc @Faith2024 @SideEyeMoon i think we are all 6dp5dt today & have lines! Have any of you done any other tests since yesterday/earlier? I did a digital today (early response) that came up pregnant which made it feel very real! Praying it stays 🤞🏼 When are your official test days? Xx

Faith2024 · 28/07/2024 19:40

@Indigopantha also no swimming at my clinic and lots of warning about not lifting my toddler or anything heavy, no sex until pregnancy test date, no hot baths or too hot showers. Not sure what’s evidence based but the heavy lifting and risk of infection from water makes sense to me.

@Mfiwife I havnt tested today, I think it needs a few days for hgc to double.

SideEyeMoon · 28/07/2024 20:17

@Mfiwife I'm 7dp5dt. My official test day is Friday. I took an early digital this evening as well and it came up pregnant. So even though I know it's early days etc (I've been here before and it's not worked out) at least right now I'm pregnant! So I'll take that for now!
My clinic doesn't do bloods etc though. You just tell them the result of the home urine test and they book a scan 3 weeks later. So I'll be going a bit mad with the waiting I think!!

Indigopantha · 28/07/2024 20:50

@Becky105 it’s great to hear your feeling full of hope and excited! ✨ I hope everything goes well tmrw for you and @LeoStar24 thinking of you both! 💕

@SideEyeMoon & @Mfiwife congrats on your positive results! That’s really exciting! 😃

Becky105 · 28/07/2024 21:32

@Indigopantha thank you for your well wishes I'm excited. I googled fertility dinners and made a big casserole (I'm stuffed). Full of kale, apricots, leeks and it was really tasty.

I'll be asking my clinic tomorrow about swimming as we have a holiday booked on 7th August (I think) for a week in Spain, so I need to know if I can go in the pool at all. That'll be funny to explain away.... Hot and sweaty and refusing to swim 🤣🤣🤣 we're surprising my in-laws and meeting them at their resort but they have no idea about our ivf... I'll have to have some backup excuses. Any ideas?

kirstysmbc · 28/07/2024 21:44

@Mfiwife Yep, I've tested again. After a miscarriage and two chemicals in my last three cycles, I've become a bit of a poas addict. I could tell by the line progression that things weren't going right each time before I even got to OTD, so trying to stay positive this time round, but very anxious. I really shouldn't do it to myself! My OTD is 5 August but I'll do beta tests on 3 and 5 if the lines are still getting darker by then.

Faith2024 · 29/07/2024 07:23

@Mfiwife & @kirstysmbc my official test day is also 5th but my doctor said I can test 1st and if its positive book for blood test on 2nd. Assuming that test is fine I think they like to book people in for a scan at 6 weeks.

My plan wasn’t to test too early but I did take the 2nd test at 7dp5d this morning. It’s still there 😊. I will test on Thursday next then call my clinic for bloods, I hope it progresses fine.

@Becky105 Good luck for today! I'll be thinking of you!

kirstysmbc · 29/07/2024 10:48

@Becky105 Good luck today!

@Faith2024 That's a really good strong line for 7dpt, congrats. My progression is starting to falter so I'm pretty sure I'm heading for another chemical already... 😞

Mfiwife · 29/07/2024 10:53

@Faith2024 my otd is the 4th august. I can’t stop testing 🫣 did another this morning & it looks strong to me so just praying it sticks!! Yours looks really strong too!

FET July 2024
Mfiwife · 29/07/2024 10:56

@kirstysmbc sorry I think we posted at the same time! Have you tested today? It’s so hard to read the lines sometimes and there’s lots of reasons it might not have got darker, diluted urine etc. praying you get a darker line tomorrow x

Faith2024 · 29/07/2024 10:58

@Becky105 all the best for today.

@Mfiwife I did that with my first child for weeks. Hope it continues to get strong for you.

@kirstysmbc oh no are you sure? I don’t think much changes in hcg everyday though? I thought progression can be tracked more clearly every 2-3 days? See what happens tomorrow.

kirstysmbc · 29/07/2024 11:07

@Mfiwife The line is a bit darker, but not as much as I'd like. And I have pics of all the tests in my unsuccessful cycles and my successful one, and this is similar to my latest chemical... With my daughter the lines got dark really quickly. I'll keep testing and see how it progresses over the next couple of days.

Hi ladies,

I hope you don’t mind me joining this thread as I’ve not actually transferred yet (in between rubella jabs, fun). I guess I just wanted to have some options from ladies who are going through IVF and therefore know what it’s like with meds and stuff.

I’ve done four ECs, first one started when I was 29 and last one just finished at 31. I have an ultra low amh for my age so my EC collections are really low, my last cycle was the best result so far with 6 eggs collected, 4 fertilised but only one embryo. I now have 4 embryos in the freezer and my consultation today. Initially I was hoping to get 5/6 embryos frozen so that I could possibly have more than one child but with such a disappointing outcome I’m tempted to gear up for a transfer and I just wanted to know what you would do in my situation. The idea of doing another cycle makes me feel physically sick but so does the fear of ending up with 0 embryos if the first or second transfer doesn’t work.

I'm at CRGH City (just in case anyone else is)

any advice/opinions/views are gratefully appreciated 🍀 ✨

sending luck and love!

@Becky105 Good luck today!

@Faith2024 That's a really good strong line for 7dpt, congrats. My progression is starting to falter so I'm pretty sure I'm heading for another chemical already... 😞

My lines were also very faint again this morning. And I'm 8dpt. I'm not convinced mine is going to last either. To top it all off I've just tested positive for covid. 🙄 so that's not great timing.

Indigopantha · 29/07/2024 12:05

@Becky105 good luck today!

@kirstysmbc @Faith2024 My OTD is also 5th Aug! Tests have arrived! What is the earliest day worth testing? Seems most people start testing a about 5dpt. My OTD is at 10 days (for a blood test)

@kirstysmbc i think the lines are looking stronger each time. I know it’s hard not to get worried, but I think HCG levels do take 2-3 days to get stronger. See how it is tmrw!

@Faith2024 your test looks like a really strong positive! Congrats, you must be excited to get your first scan booked in!

@Mfiwife looks like a strong positive too!!

Indigopantha · 29/07/2024 12:16

@Sunnydaysahead1 when is your OTD? Are you going to wait or test early? I feel the same, a mixture of nervous and excited, but mainly trying to make the time go faster. I’ve watched most of the new series of ‘house of the dragons’ 🐉’ 😂 I’ve also got a Pilates class to teach tmrw, so making it really easy.

In terms of symptoms I’m not going to read into too much because it seems like it’s the same for premenstrual and pregnancy symptoms. I’m not really feeling any different.

I think yours look darker than mine. Mine are taken at 7dpt and 8dpt.
I was also using the cheap easy at home ones and you can barely see them unless you hold into the light.

kirstysmbc · 29/07/2024 13:13

@Faith2024 Thanks, yes hcg should double every 48-72 hours, so I will try to stay positive. There's definitely progression from days 5 to 7.

@Indigopantha Thanks, I think 5 or 6 days is a good place to start. There's a great thread on Reddit that explains - www.reddit.com/r/IVF/comments/fljrfi/whenshoulditestaninformativepost/

@SideEyeMoon I'm sorry you're having the same worries. Fingers crossed that both of us see tests getting darker over the next couple of days.
