Hello, I'm 3dp5dt today and thought it would be nice to chat to anyone going through the same. This is my third FET after two failed medicated cycles, doing a modified natural this time. I'm definitely an early tester and have tested out my trigger as I didnt want to have doubt in my mind as to whether I was seeing a bfp or trigger. I got my first negative since the trigger this morning. Fingers crossed!

@2022TTCBaby1 I’m so sorry. It’s an awful feeling. I still have to go in tomorrow for my blood test despite my period nearly being over at this point!

@2022TTCBaby1 that’s great it isn’t too far away I hated the waiting between transfers and appointments it’s horrible 😢what is kind ivf? How are you doing? x

i got my beta back and it was 233 so I was super happy with that as it was still quite early. Compared to the levels for the transfers I miscarried it is much higher! So maybe there is some hope this one might work …. I’m going to do one more tomorrow at 14dp5dt just to make sure increasing ok 🤞 and then I will leave it

@Ellenn yeah, I just want to know what I can do now...i have booked in for bloods to check insulin levels and my thyroid as I have PCOS, insulin can be high and thyroid can be over active which can prevent pregnancy. If they come back abnormal I will be complaining as surely they shouldve checked this and dealt with this before attempting IVF!

With kind IVF they use lower doses of stims etc etc so its much cheaper! I gave them my treatment summary for the previous round and they have said I am eligible.... its £2750 per cycle rather than like £9k!!

I have been struggling a bit the past few days to be honest, hit me pretty hard but I will get there. My period come today and my gosh dont I know it!! They heaviest/most painful period I think I have ever had 😢

@2022TTCBaby1 that’s weird they didn’t check these things before starting, I also had clotting bloods done before my first cycle. Maybe check you’ve had these done too?

wow that’s such a difference in price! Is that mainly the difference in the drugs cost?

so sorry to hear you are struggling 🫂make sure you look after yourself - I used to try and think one day at a time and don’t ask too much of yourself. Ie if you want some chocolate or a wee gin then do it. It feels so hard initially you wonder how to keep going but day by day it does get easier with time xxx

I’ve had two rounds of ICSI and this is my 4th transfer ☺️ totally don’t mind you asking, I remember when I first started quizzing people about their treatments 🤣

Yeah I am trying too. Had a lot of family stuff to do this weekend but think I just want to keep myself to myself and have a chilled one but dont want to end up isolating myself too much!

He seems to be ok, I keep checking in on him but he is really busy with work so I think he is coping that way.

@2022TTCBaby1 I think it was called a thrombophilia screen or something might be best to ask your GP? I got it via nhs as part of initial bloods that included thyroid etc.

its such a hard balance to get isn’t it! I kept working through everything when I miscarried my transfers cause I felt like work was a distraction and stopped me sitting down and actually thinking about it? But also you don’t want to overwhelm yourself it’s this difficult balance 😢

I only got two embryos in my first round despite quite a few eggs. I think you need to think of this cycle as almost a practice run ie. You are working out how your body responds to the drugs and what might work better. And then you can learn from it and hopefully tweak things to have a better outcome in the next cycle? Also most clinics will offer free counselling as well so you could try that to see if it helps? I’ve had a few sessions here and there and if anything it’s nice just to have space to word vomit all your feelings out there!
