Hello, I'm 3dp5dt today and thought it would be nice to chat to anyone going through the same. This is my third FET after two failed medicated cycles, doing a modified natural this time. I'm definitely an early tester and have tested out my trigger as I didnt want to have doubt in my mind as to whether I was seeing a bfp or trigger. I got my first negative since the trigger this morning. Fingers crossed!

I'd love to hear how others are going x

Its so hard to not give it! Im keeping everything crossed for you and will be waiting to see your message!

Yeah thats what they said! They were a 4bc and 5bc....but the hospital doesnt freeze anything under a b...

What did you go for in this cycle?

No unfortunately not. We got one round on NHS....and as we now have no frozen we would have the fund the whole process again 😫 what about you?

Copenhagener · 31/01/2024 13:16

Hiya,

Jumping in here as I’m 5DP5DT so in the same timeline. My blood test is 6 February. I’m 32 and did my first fresh transfer on Friday for unexplained infertility. We have one more frozen embryo banked.

@Ellenn hello transfer buddy :)

Today I have cramping, tiredness and I’m spotting some light pink. I think I’ll test tomorrow to see if there’s anything, though it might still be too early to detect if it did implant. I checked the hospital website and it said light spotting can happen at this point, and not to call unless it becomes bright red.

Ellenn · 31/01/2024 15:26

@2022TTCBaby1 my clinic also doesn’t freeze anything graded C either but I’ve seen on here C graded embryos can still make babies! I think they are just more difficult to freeze and store and less likely to warm/survive? Cause you were a fresh transfer it may be ok though!

that’s such a shame you don’t get any other cycles via NHS it’s so unfair how some regions you get it and others you don’t. We are lucky although this is our 1st NHS cycle we had a cycle privately before this. In Scotland you can get total of 3 cycles which is amazing although all treatments are completed in NHS hospitals so wait time/transfers is quite long 🙄 we are lucky to still have embryos to use from this cycle first.

between cycles I got very different results so you may find if you do need another cycle you respond completely differently!

@Copenhagener hey!! I will reply here otherwise it gets complicated on two different threads 🙈 exciting you are going to test I think at only 6 days you would definitely need an early test. I’m going to wait until Sunday I think so it’s super obvious either way 😊 I hate getting obsessed about test lines (I mean even testing on Sunday I might get obsessed 🤣) if you are taking progesterone pessaries sometimes they can make you spot so might be worth trying to take the the other route!

2022TTCBaby1 · 31/01/2024 16:08

Hi @Copenhagener welcome! How are you feeling about it all? Are you feeling positive? Will keep fingers crossed for you! I am holding out til my bloods on monday!

@Ellenn it really is unfair! I think it should be the same all round...but I guess scotland is its own country so there guidelines etc will be different to here in England! Some regions dont get any ivf goes I dont think. I believe the army get 3 rounds no matter where they are based in the country. Our wait wasnt too bad! We got referred in Feb'23 by the gyno...who we got referred to after 6 months due to PCOS...and then they said we cant officially start IVF til 2 years. They called Sept'23 and made our appointment for Nov'23 which was bang on 2 years! Ive heard some people on the list for years though!

2022TTCBaby1 · 31/01/2024 17:48

Just looked on my fitbit app and my resting heart rate has gone right down 😢 think im out 😫

Ellenn · 31/01/2024 18:15

@2022TTCBaby1 is resting heart rate an accurate predictor?

thats good timing! Glad to hear you weren’t made to wait, it just seems so unfair when everyone is paying the same taxes that we get such different healthcare options. It does feel like infertility isn’t a disease and it’s not as important. Do you like the clinic you are with?

2022TTCBaby1 · 31/01/2024 18:29

@Ellenn i think rhr increases with pregnancy but to be honest...with all these meds and stuff it could mean anything.

Yeah totally agree! And some areas refuse women if they have a partner with kids already. Why is being a step parent a reason for them not be able to have children of their own?!
Yeah my clinic was lovely! Couldnt fault it. Unless this fails haha what about you?

Ellenn · 31/01/2024 19:17

@2022TTCBaby1 yeh I know up in Scotland if either partner has kids you can’t have any funding 😢 so quite similar and so unfair. Just doesn’t make sense does it. Also the fact if one cycle works that you can’t access any more treatment.

yeh my clinic are nice but think if I wasn’t getting funded treatment would definitely go abroad! I get the impression they give better patient care compared to here plus you get a holiday out of it 🤣

cleggrickman · 31/01/2024 19:36

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind me jumping on this post? Been watching it for a couple of days and just thought I'm going to jump on. Had my FET on Friday so today 5dp5dt. Did a very very silly thing and tested this afternoon. BFN. I'm trying not to let this worry me as I know it was extremely early. I just wish I'd resisted however no point regretting that choice now 😞

Ellenn · 31/01/2024 19:51

@cleggrickman hey transfer buddy 👋
aww this is still super early days get your partner to hide ALL the tests right now!

I find if I start testing early I seem to spiral out of control and makes me so anxious. I’m not sure testing early is the best for me but I know some others feel more in control if they do it!

when is your OTD? Was it a fresh or frozen?

2022TTCBaby1 · 31/01/2024 19:58

@Ellenn its so unfair.

Abroad? Where have you seen? I would like yhe holiday haha but would be nervous abroad i think!!

@cleggrickman welcome!! Oh no sorry to hear this! 5dpt is super early to test. Keep everything crossed for you! When do you think youll tesy again?

I know. Reading so many comments of positives 5dpt made me very naive and now I am kicking myself. We did a fresh transfer 8 years ago which gave us our DD who's 7 tomorrow! We did a FET IN 2021 which failed. We started again Jan 2022 which has been postponed until now due to a cyst of my right ovary which turned out to be a borderline ovarian tumour so after months of tests we I had to have my right ovary removed and a few other things. Was given to all clear in October last year and had my transfer on Friday. When is your test day? Is it a beta or a HPT?

Not as sorry as me for being naive in all the 4/5dpt positives! I'm going to hold out until either Saturday or Sunday now. Beta is on Monday. Scary times!

2022TTCBaby1 · 31/01/2024 20:10

@cleggrickman it is so hard though. I have talked myself out of it so many times today! I just keep thinking 2 more days of work....weekends fly by....you can do it haha

We are so close together....as @Ellenn said...this time next week we will all know 🙏🏽

DublinICSI · 31/01/2024 22:49

Hi all - hope you don't mind if I join in?

Had a transfer on the 22nd (so currently 9dp5dt)... and going for a blood test in the clinic this Friday.

Have kept a fairly level head until now but starting to second-guess everything...! Don't really have any symptoms other than a general heaviness / ache, feels like I'm about to get my period but without the bad cramps?

Had a failed ICSI round in October and this is our first (and only) FET... back to another full round if this doesn't work which I can't bear the thought of!

2022TTCBaby1 · 01/02/2024 06:35

Hey @DublinICSI

Your symptoms sound like mine although last night had some sharp twinges by my belly button....could be me overthinking it though!

Keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. How you feeling today?

Ellenn · 01/02/2024 06:46

@2022TTCBaby1 there are loads of clinics abroad! But I’ve looked into clinics in Greece and Spain as they seemed to have really good reviews/feedback. You can usually get a free initial consultation too which is quite nice to see what they are like! no more symptoms?

@cleggrickman its so hard isn’t it you just want to know an answer though. Not sure everyone gets positives that early plus might be dependent on the test you use as your levels will be super low! I’m going to test on Sunday too 😁😳 super scared though

@DublinICSI hey! I recognise you from another thread! it’s horrible when it’s your last embryo from the round feels like so much more pressure doesn’t it? Well done for holding off till testing!!!

I’ve not really got symptoms apart from this viral cold where it feels like I’ve cold knives in my throat 😢 I’ve had a little bit of cramping but that’s been it really tbh. Feels a bit more close now with not many days until testing. Now starting to second guess and wonder should I just wait till official date next Friday 🤪 I thought at 9dp5dt it would be fairly accurate to test ie if it’s positive/negative unlikely to change?

2022TTCBaby1 · 01/02/2024 07:47

@Ellenn interesting. Might be worth taking a look at...plus the holiday haha

2 more days at work....then the weekend. Getting super nervous for test day 😫

Ellenn · 01/02/2024 08:23

@2022TTCBaby1 im the same feel like I have anxiety creeping up and struggling to get it to calm down as nothing we can do at this point! I’m actually off work today so I’m going to try hard and get rid of this bug! Do you have anything planned on Saturday to try and distract you? I feel like I’m going to be getting up at 4am on Sunday or something as I won’t be able to sleep 😳

Copenhagener · 01/02/2024 08:33

@Ellenn sorry to hear you’re still feeling rough today!

I called the fertility clinic at the hospital I’m at, and they said it’s normal to be bleeding lightly (pink) at this point and it might be implantation or reaction to progesterone. She did say it’s too early to be my period at this point; so to let them know if it gets heavier.

She said I should continue taking the progesterone until my blood test on Tuesday. It’s a little more today, but still light (barely visible on a tissue).

My boyfriend needs to travel for work after the blood test on Tuesday, so I’m a bit sad I’ll be alone, good or bad news.

Ellenn · 01/02/2024 09:10

@Copenhagener did you end up doing an early test?

that’s good the clinic were reassuring. Sorry to hear your partner won’t be with you after you get your results, could you test the day before or something so you are more prepared? We are of course all here if you need any support or anyone to talk to (not quite the same as a partner but I find it really helpful to have everyone here x)

2022TTCBaby1 · 01/02/2024 09:13

@Ellenn its horrid isnt it 😒 Yes I agree, have a nice chilled sofa day to get rid of it! I have a stonking headache this morning 😫

Yes i have a busy weekend ahead which I am pleased with! Take my mind off everything. How about you?

2022TTCBaby1 · 01/02/2024 09:15

@Copenhagener are you on the pessaries? As my clinic said i probably wont get a period untill after I stop them....if I need to stop them.

Exactly what @Ellenn said....we are all here. Fingers crossed there are some positive outcomes in this group 🙏🏽🫶🏽

I know you just read so many stories and I just wish there was a balance to the stories! Up all night and did another FRER with FMU and again negative. Trying not to completely rule out this round as beta not until Monday. My partner said if they could give people an accurate result after 6 days don't you think they would? They wouldn't have people waiting this long, which I completely get he's just trying to be reassuring and positive! I've now thrown all tests and going to wait until Monday!

I wouldn't advise testing early as you can imagine. If you are not ready to see a potential negative then don't do it! It's crushing x

Copenhagener · 01/02/2024 10:30

@2022TTCBaby1 yes, I’m on two 400mg progesterone pessaries a day, but there’s still some pink spotting coming through the last 48 hours. It feels like my period coming in, but as you say, it really shouldn’t be yet.
