Still the trigger shot?

I haven't tested out my trigger shot this time around, as tbh I'm so exhausted from all of this that I've tried my best not to obsess over testing this cycle 😅

I'm currently 9dpo and 11dp my trigger shot but I feel like line looks quite dark for it to be the trigger still... this has dried as I did it early this morning but the line was there straight away so I know it's there. I also know I just need to test again jmin a day or two to see if it darkens but I just maybe wanted some reassurance on what people think and based on your experience this many days after the trigger.

@cbear1989 I think the ovitrelle trigger (unsure which one you had) can take up to 14 days to go out of system! Although at transfer last year I tested to see when it was out my system and I think it was about day 11. So might be tricky to know if it’s the trigger or not tbh! I really hope it’s a real positive for you 🤞🤞🤞

cbear1989 · 19/06/2023 18:39

Thank you so much, and for replying ❤️ really struggling this 2ww and been feeling so sicky and tired but anxious not to get my hopes up to be disappointed yet again, its so hard isn't it!?

Have got a CB test and forcing myself not to retest til Friday which is 14dpo so will hopefully know by then either way... I purposefully didn't test my trigger out so that it wouldn't make me crazy but now im just crazy because I don't know if it's actually gone yet 😅😅

@cbear1989 I feel your pain 😳it’s so difficult even to keep yourself distracted and forget about it. I don’t think there is anyway to make yourself not go crazy with these things!

I think for my next transfer I’m going to wait as long as possible and just see if I bleed. I’m saying this now and I bet I won’t 🤣🤣🤣 I just don’t want to disappoint myself with a biochemical.

Definitely think it helps if you don’t have any tests lying around cause you just end up using them 🙈

cbear1989 · 19/06/2023 21:26

I'm glad it's not just me!! I have an ever positive husband telling me to stay poor and not let it beat me 😅😅 easier said than done!

Bless you, sending you lots and lots of luck for your next go, hopefully it'll be your time!❤️

@cbear1989 that looks positive to me! When's your blood test? Wishing you luck

cbear1989 · 20/06/2023 17:28

Thanks @FETmum, although I'm pretty sure it's still the trigger :( have just done a test now and it's lighter. I'll try again Friday when it'll be 14dpo but I'm not holding out much hope. Struggling so much with disappointment after disappointment 😞 feels like it's never gonna happen for me.

Hope you have more luck soon xxx

@cbear1989 sorry to hear your update but you still have some time when is your official testing date? xx

cbear1989 · 21/06/2023 08:26

Thanks @Ellenn - my hormones are so wild on top of all of this too😅🙈

Friday will be 14dpo and 16 days post trigger so will see then. Luckily I'm taking my mum to London for the night for her birthday so that'll be a welcome distraction 🤣🤣

Just messes with you though as the line is defo there but hasn't really changed, but maybe it'll be gone in a few days, and that'll be my answer... 😨

@cbear1989 how about taking a pink dye test? The same thing happened to me with the trigger still in my system it was a BFP last year but sadly ended in MC!

Im 4dpo on letrozole had a weak moment last night & binge ate loads of chocolates, fml. TWW IS HARD.

Baby dust xx

cbear1989 · 21/06/2023 16:41

@FETmum bless you 😪😪 I've been doing that all week to be honest so don't feel too bad! I can't decide if my massively swollen belly is down to the progesterone pessaries or my over eating 🤣🤣 perhaps a bit of both haha

I'm gonna hang on til Friday as that'll be 2 weeks from ovulation. not holding out much hope but we shall see.

keep us posted with how your cycle is going! have everything crossed for some luck for you ❤️

So I've come home from my trip and just couldn't resist doing a test this afternoon.Im so confused, I mean I know the line has to darken to be a true bfp but it feels like the line is still there, still light, and still the same lightness as from a few days ago. I'm 13dpo and 15dpt today, so I guess I'd expect the trigger to be completely gone... am I going crazy though or is there still something there?I think I still need to do one in the morning and see how that looks... as this wasn't first thing morning pee😅😅 so maybe difficult to compare?? argh it's just so confusing I've played around with the photo settings on the first pic but the second is just as it is. so shows how light it is - still there, but light🙈🙈

@cbear1989 I definitely see a line! Did it come up within the timescales? I've had sneaky lines come up later when it dries which is not nice! Might be worth trying a pink dye test? When I had a biochemical pregnancy it was quite a light line which eventually faded over a few days.

Or asking if you can get blood tests 2 days apart as that would give you a definitive answer that it is going up! I hope its a true line for you!!

FETmum · 22/06/2023 19:43

@cbear1989 I don't blame you for resting again! It's so addictive! There's definitely something going on with those positives! You don't get false positives 10 times in a row & you can see there's colour to it. Let us know what the blood results say! This could be your sticky bean. Good luck.

cbear1989 · 22/06/2023 20:24

Thank you, you guys are so sweet and supportive. Not getting my hopes up but I agree its very odd... it came up within the timeframe so there's something still there I just can't work out if it's just the trigger.

Good advice though, I think I'll call tomorrow and ask to get some bloods done to know either way. Thanks again guys, will keep you posted ❤️

@cbear1989 isn't a blood test part of your ivf treatment? Any update this morning, still showing positive? Xx

cbear1989 · 24/06/2023 14:36

@FETmum I'm not onto IVF yet, my consultant has had me doing clomid since last May with 2 more rounds left before we can have a go on IVF.

Had a negative clearblue so have stopped taking the progesterone now. Have tried to get in touch with my Consultant to ask if I can just go straight to IVF now. it feels like weve had a fair few viable cycles on clomid and haven't had any luck, so I think we would learn more from IVF as to what's failing and I don't particularly wanna put myself through two more clomid cycles before we get to that point if it's just not gonna work, just hoping my Consultant will support my wishes!

@cbear1989 sorry to hear your update, I hope you manage to make a plan soon 🤞 x

FETmum · 25/06/2023 09:46

@cbear1989 sorry to hear this, it completely sucks! Your consultant should be listening & I understand the frustration! Be kind to yourself this week. I'm 8dpo on letrozole and it was a bfn. I had a drink last night as well to keep me distracted!

@Ellenn what's your fertility journey may I ask?

Baby dust xox

cbear1989 · 25/06/2023 10:10

Thanks @FETmum , 8dpo is still so early so you still never know! Take care of yourself too this week and have everything crossed for you.

Funnily enough I got my period today... which most women trying to conceive hate but mine has been going AWOL so actually I'm taking it as a win 🤣🤣

OP posts:
Ellenn · 25/06/2023 10:21

@cbear1989 definitwly enjoy it well you can it’s such a rollercoaster isn’t it 🙈 you go from not wanting it to arrive to then giving up and getting frustrated when it just mucks around with you!

@FETmum I had my first ICSI cycle last summer which resulted in a biochemical and then next FET was a miscarriage at 6.5 wks in January. Just completed my second cycle in May which had to be a freeze-all due to OHSS but looking to do a FET next cycle (which I think the transfer will be late July!) 🤞what about you?

FETmum · 25/06/2023 20:57

@cbear1989 I know what you mean, it's a relief when you get your period & you're no longer in the TWW 😆 time to geared up for the next round.

@Ellenn we've been thru ivf in 2018 which was successful & we had our DD in 2019. From that cycle we had 2 FET left which we transferred last summer, one resulted in a MC & the other didn't work. We then had another round of ivf, had a fresh transfer didn't work & nothing to freeze. So here I am on my 5th go of letrozole due to pcos.

Thought we'd try another avenue but now may have to thinking of something else. Don't fancy paying for ivf again. I had OHSS many years ago, wishing you all the success with your transfer 😊

Ellenn · 25/06/2023 21:38

@cbear1989 does letrozole help with the PCOS?

We are unexplained infertility which I’m not sure if that makes it better or more frustrating. It would be nice to know why nothing is working!

Fertility treatments are so expensive! We actually used our savings and paid for the first cycle ourselves as we were told the waiting list was quite long. Luckily the second cycle was on NHS for us. It does seem so unfair that the NHS will only fund for one child (and I know it’s also a lottery where you live if you event get treatment/certain cycles) we are lucky in our area i can have three NHS cycles. I totally don’t regret using our savings for the first cycle even though it didn’t work though.

Fingers crossed for the letrozole for you!

FETmum · 27/06/2023 13:53

@Ellenn hey yes it's suppose to help ovulate if you have pcos. I had a blood test on my second round & that confirmed I ovulated. No success to date!

I had what I thought was spotting yesterday & the start of my af but everything's dried up with bfn.

Here's to your successful transfer!
