Hello! Anyone going through a cycle with transfer expected in June and interested to chat pls msg!

I’m currently going through a FET and hoping for a transfer on Monday 🤞

@Surfernerd Oh goodness 9 cycles! What about the one with egg collection - did you get a fresh transfer? Also what is a tested embryo?

Ahh I’ve heard about lubion being difficult. Apparently keeping it under your armpit/in your bra for 20 minutes helps with the injection!

Oh no cement hard tummy sounds awful ☹️☹️ do you feel lots of twinges too? I remember feeling like the ovaries were being pinched now and then

@greentin yes! Weirdly I’ve been getting them a lot more on my right side and that’s the side that had significantly more measurable follicles too.

Fingers crossed that the tip works. Let me know how it goes!

Which day of cycle they retrieve egg day 11 or 12 or 13

No fresh transfer yet I overstimulated first collection and 2nd time hormones out of whack. I want to try fresh this time but stat's for abnormalities vs my age scare me a little. Embryos are tested for chromosone abnormalities.

@Surfernerd yep, I hear you re concerns about abnormalities as an older person....I've had recurrent miscarriages/implantation failure and struggling to find hope that one will stick, at this point.

I caved to the temptation to POAS despite it being effectively meaningless while I'm still on hcg injections.....it was positive but if course it was and of course it doesn't mean it will stick!!! Argh. Count down to actual test day is still another 7 days so it's nerve wracking to say the least. Still having intermittent mild cramps but no other obvious symptoms at 11dpo/6dp5dt.

@Hopefulat40 how many transfers have you had so far? Yeah the temptation to test is soo strong!

currently on my 8th cycle.
TTC from 2017 for a year no result then found out both of my tubes are blocked and blocked in different places and need 2 different surgeries to unblock. Suggested go for IVF.
Had 3 cycle almost 300+needles 2018-2019 ended up only 2 not so good quality embryos transferred and only 1 survived which is my 3 yo and climbing up and down the sofa now.

Always wanted 2 children and no more. So with no embryos from previous rounds. Started IVF again 2021. But tried 1 round down reg long protocol — 1 egg couldn’t fertilised. Then short or mild with 2 follicles with no egg at all.
read about natural modified on this website and lady end up twins. Switched clinic and started 3 cycles package natural modified. 2 cycles with 0 embryos. So I insisted go back to long protocol. Started down reg 2rd June. Had af 5th June. Started Gonal-f 300iu 7th June. Going to clinic have ultrasound Friday 9th June and see how’s everything.
sorry about the long post. But I’m starting to lose hope and trying to get the message from the fate that maybe I’m too greedy to wanting 2rd child. Maybe I should stop wasting money and time. Just feeling quite hopeless😥

@JLB234 thanks for the tip! Re lubion. It’s a game changer. Still burns slightly but doesn’t result in the painful lumps that happened the first two occasions. any news of your egg collection?

@greentin so pleased to hear that it made things a bit easier! I had a couple of the lumps with meriofert. They were only little but they hurt a lot so I can only imagine what the pain was like with the lubion! How are you feeling apart from that?

Yes, they were happy on Friday, there’d been lots of growth in a couple of days so we’re going ahead for tomorrow. Equal parts excited and terrified!

Oh wow all the best for tomorrow @JLB234 !! With egg collection I felt the hardest part was the anxiety leading up to it rather than the physical. Hoping all goes well for you and that you’ll be well looked after post ec.

I’m feeling ok actually. I’ve fallen into a routine of pessaries and injections and trying not to count days to OTD. Not feeling any activity down there but I know it’s early

@Hopefulat40 Totally get the caving into temptation to poas. This time round I’m planning to not buy any tests till the evening before otd. Your otd is 13 days post transfer? That’s quite long!

@YS1225 you’re not greedy at all. You’re brave and you found the will and heart to put yourself through it all again.

I went through two cycles in 2018 and ended up with my little girl. Vowed never to put myself through it again had ohss both occasions. Had one left in freezer so trying that now and trying not to think ahead it’s hard! But I too really want a second esp since I worry about my girl and leaving her without a sibling.

Just had egg collection and we’ve retrieved 24 eggs which was way above what I had expected. Feeling a bit woozy but very happy.

@greentin thanks so much. Feeling very tired a little sore but fine. We had an update this morning to say 13 had fertilized so that was a lovely surprise. We were told to expect 8-10! Just hoping they make it to day 5.

Good luck with your frozen embryo as people always say — it only take one ( one embryo to make dream comes true)
scan show only 4 follicles. I’ve never had much follicles — only 5-6 follicles each time through that 3 cycles 4 years ago. It’s much expected to diminished after 4 years. If this is a number game then I really don’t see the win. Especially after 2 years and 4 cycles of failure. I don’t see how this time could be different. If it’s another failure this time, I’m not sure what to do next.
but before that — I’ll just keep going and try to live my life with smile.
Everything cross for you ladies — you all have much much more hope me. When you have doubt just remember I’m here at the bottom 😭

@JLB234 that’s amazing!! Even with some natural attrition you should be left with a few surplus on top of a fresh transfer fingers crossed!

I’m doing fine.. it feels really quiet down there though. In all my pregnancies other than the first one I’ve always been able to tell something was up before I poas.. so the lack of any feeling is a bit disheartening but trying to stay positive, eating healthy, having meds and all that.
