Hello, I'm starting a June thread for IVFers - I couldn't see one on the board. Please join!

I'm 39 and this will be our second round. The first round in November resulted in 2 blastocysts from 10 eggs. First transfer failed, got pregnant from the second transfer but miscarried at 9.5 weeks at the beginning of April.

Now raring to go again!

thank you! Yes they’ve provisionally scheduled me in for a fresh transfer on Saturday so fingers crossed I have a blastocyst for then!

how did other people’s numbers go between day 3 and 5?

@LucyFab im so sorry to hear this. I've not been through this yet but I pre empted it as a possibility. I decided if I can't use my own eggs I would use donor. Huge decision but I felt strongly I would feel that baby is my own. I would still get to carry it and give birth to it. My approach would probably to be open with the child from the beginning about the egg donation to avoid upset in the future. I'm so sorry you're in this position and it all seems so unfair. But u would definitely do it if it came to that xxx

@b0zza1 thank you! its a very strange place to be in I can’t lie. I’m currently only taking progesterone pessaries twice a day plus my folic acid and vitamin D.

@LucyFab I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. Have you asked if there's any chance the quality of your eggs could be improved with supplements etc? I know there's a book called "it starts with the egg" that a lot of people rate but you could be spending a lot of time and money on something and still not get the results but it could be worth a try x

Thank you all - this is very sad news and I hope you will have a better news!! I will speak to the doctor’s and will keep you updated with next steps. I have not thought about donation yet… but I guess I am forced to think about it now!

@LucyFab were down to 1 low grade embryo so starting to think what to do if it doesn’t work. My sister has offered to donate her eggs to me but I don’t even know how that would work??

Hi ladies.
I feel in a privileged position to have got a BFP this cycle and do not mean to be insensitive to those of you on this thread who have not been lucky this time.
My beta on test day was 564, rising to 1284 2 days later. Logically I know this is a good thing.
My boobs have been really sore the past week or so and I’ve been having sort of mild period pains. Today they feel less sore and I’m not sure about the pains. I have convinced myself something is going wrong.
I’m not generally an anxious person at all. This is very out of character for me. I don’t know how I will stay sane until the scan on 4th July. :(

Hi @PLy657 we're very much on the same track :) I had my EC last Monday with similar numbers. 8 good quality embryos on day 3 is amazing! You're still very young so I think that will help you big time and shows in the quality and numbers. I also have a fresh transfer scheduled for tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it and can't wait to find out how many made it and how many we can hopefully freeze. all fingers and toes crossed. Last cycle, we had a drop off from 5 to 2 between day 3 and day 5, but we addressed this issues with taking supplements for three months prior to the second cycle, so I'm hope we'll have a few left from the 10 I had yesterday (day 3).

Hi @MaggieMoo86 congratulations on your BFP! I know it's easier said that done, but try not to worry. just because your boobs don't hurt anymore, does not mean it's gone. I'm sure the symptoms come and go and aren't just there 24/7. And unless you had a bleed I'd assume that everything is okay

Guys had my day 5 scan today of stims. Eggs are catching up, there are between 11-13 in the race (rest too small) so I'm hoping they will all reach the finish line and mature! So glad I hopefully won't have to abandon. X

@PB86 where are you now in your 2ww? I'm crossing everything for you! I'm dreading that stage. Any symptoms yet? X

@MAbbott34 I had the embryo transferred on Wednesday at 10am and it’s going so slowly! No real symptoms I don’t think.

@MAbbott34 it can be so easy to get caught up with the numbers. Just remember, all you need is 1!

@PB86 try not to analyse symptoms (impossible I know!) I have heard of plenty of mums who had no symptoms til their positive test. X

@PLy657 that sounds like such a hard time waiting. Really hope it's good news xx
