Hi All, we will be starting our IVF journey with Kings Fertility next month. How was your experience? Was it successful? Thanks!

@Optimistic66 Seems I guessed right with March! 😂 Good luck for this cycle! I hope it works first try :)

I'm all signed off from King's now. We finally got our refund for the cycle we didn't use.

@TheBirdintheCave - Amazing news! Always lovely to hear positive stories! Hope pregnancy is going well and your not feeling too tired! x

@Optimistic66 Yes it's all been ok so far! I'm 33 weeks now so not too long to go!

Bumping in the hopes that some of you with experience of Kings are still reading!

I have low AMH (along with endo). We have a toddler as a result of IVF. That treatment was NHS but very cookie cutter and not at all tailored to my low AMH. I was downregulated for weeks which was tough going too. Only had one scan scheduled by the clinic during all of stims.

Do you feel Kings has a good approach to low AMH patients? Are scans regularly carried out so that any tweaks can be made? Do doctors adjust the meds or nurses please?

Also considering Evewell if anyone has experience there too? Thank you.

What tailoring are you expecting? Yes they scan you regularly as any clinic would for a cycle, and they would increase meds if needed (they did in one of my cycles). I have always had a doctor scan me and recommend any changes, I don't think they do nurse led treatment plans but could be wrong. I have a low AMH and we have a 3 yr old daughter from IVF with them. We did 2 more fresh rounds and 4 transfers trying for a second with no success but have just conceived naturally (first time in 6 years off contraception). I have always felt their care was excellent. They are pragmatic and evidence based, don't encourage you to waste money on unevidenced treatment, and have always been flexible in terms of appt timings etc for us. Good luck whatever you choose.

Anyone got any info on days and times for eggs retrievals at kings?
Whats the latest time appointment anyone has had? do they do afternoons? and do they schedule on Saturday?
can you have any choice?
Realise I shouldn’t be worrying about it but logistics are playing on my mind as I try and manage appointments around work (who I haven’t told)

SErunner · 30/06/2024 21:59

You don't get a lot of choice - such appts are all scheduled at short notice because they're dictated by how things look at your previous appt. I always just accepted what they gave me. Egg collection I had some am and some pm, same with transfers. You could certainly ask to try and move appt times but be prepared to work round them rather than the other way round.

@1982Mummy I had egg retrievals and transfers on Saturday mornings and also on a weekday morning and early afternoon but that was just down to how my cycle went. You don’t really get a choice as it’s down to how you respond and when your body is ready.
