@Cr7 they haven’t given me any applicators but actually I think I have some from a previous cycle - good call!!

CR7 · 29/04/2023 18:59

Echoing @Vallef 's thoughts @CHARL82 - at 42 with an amh of 2 I've definitely ended up in a much better boat than the drs predicted xx

Vallef · 29/04/2023 19:00

@StaceyWS88 thank you hun how are you doing?

@BiscuitLover3678 thank you! You have done so well congrats. Are you having a fresh cycle or waiting for your period to come to rest your body abit? I had 2 embryos transfered both day 5 AA so god knows. Am triying not to think about it and I don't want to be ungrateful. I'd love twins because god knows if my oncologist will alow further treatment down the line but am also slightly scared as my history with womb cancer feeds on hormones and obviously twin babies double the amount as well as I think mh oncologist will be extremely vexed with Mr. Anyway there always seems to be some kind of worry. My hubby's cousin is pregnant with her 2nd but she's 41 and had some problems getting pregnant with both babies. This tome round she's 7 months now luckily but at 4.5 months there were saying there's a sack but no baby but at next scan there was. Anyway she was saying the worry never finishes until you literally give birth there's always something to worry about during the 9 months!

Vallef · 29/04/2023 19:05

@Frisbeee thank you hun and wrll done on your transfer please take it easy they day first 48 hours is so important. Remember to make sure ur hitting at least 60g of protein, avoid vitamin A foods, and also in case you didn't know you need to make sure your feet are always warm ad apparently if their cold it travels straight to the womb and you need to keep it warm. So recommendation is hot food and warm drinks! No got water bottles though aprently that's not gd for you according to doctor and accupancturist. Sorry for the info overload :) can't wait for you and @CR7 to test and all the ladies in our group really we can then form our own first trimester chat lol

I’m good, been a bit worried about OHSS as I was apparently as risk of it, I’ve had some nausea/sickness and felt tender and had ahem, toilet issues, but I think the progesterone makes me like that anyway because I have IBS! Spoke to the embryologist yesterday and all 8 were still fertilising so eager to get to Monday and see how they’re getting on.

Fizzle1987 · 29/04/2023 19:55

Thank you ladies ☺️.

@Vallef so they have told me to test on the 8th which is day 10 since transfer and 2 weeks from collection. Everywhere seems to be different 🙈.

@CR7 exciting and stressful times ahead 🤦🏼‍♀️. how are you feeling with everything? What day is your test date? I know you’ve probably said it a million times but it’s hard to keep up, sorry 😣 xx

CR7 · 29/04/2023 19:56

@Fizzle1987 bank holiday Monday 8th. Still a long way to go xxx

Vallef · 29/04/2023 22:08

@StaceyWS88 I had OHSS as they tool 32 eggs at collection. Try not to worry and just rest up that's all you can do. And eat salty stuff I read it somewhere and it actually helped me alot apparently it helps reduce the ovaries back yo normal. I felt uncomfortable like I was carrying a ton of bricks inside me down below and even peeing was difficult for a week but luckily once I started the salty foods I actually healed up pretty quickly in the 2nd week. My doctor on both times said in this case its better to have a frozen cycle so had to wait for my period which came within 5 days after egg collection. Apparently we have inhospitable endometrium when they collect too much eggs and there's risk of OHSS so he preferred rather than do the transfer and it doesn't work because of it to wait. And he must of been right because both times he was successful! Maybe if your worried speak to your doc? Cross my fingers for all 8 to turn out in best quality for you hun :)

Vallef · 29/04/2023 22:09

@Fizzle1987 and @CR7 your both testing in the same day? That's so cool :)

CR7 · 29/04/2023 22:39

@Fizzle1987 twin test dates xx

StaceyWS88 · 01/05/2023 08:17

Morning all, transfer is 11am and I’ve been wide awake almost all night, I was still awake at 4:30am 😭 terrified it’s going to ruin my chances.

Frisbeee · 01/05/2023 08:35

@StaceyWS88 good luck today!! Totally understandable to be nervous. Hopefully you can come home and have a nice relaxing afternoon after it’s done x

CR7 · 01/05/2023 09:06

@StaceyWS88 hardest part is over now. The transfer is just like a smear test really. No injections or drugs. Start drinking half an hour before your slot. We are all here for you d

Frisbeee · 01/05/2023 09:34

Morning everyone, so I’ve had my day 3 call from the clinic and it’s not good news. None of my 6 embryos are developing properly and they’ve said it’s likely to be due to the egg quality as I’m 41. They are doing a double transfer today anyway but I’ve been told the chance of it working are slim to none. I’m literally devastated

CR7 · 01/05/2023 09:42

@Frisbeee I'm so sorry to hear. Surely they wouldn't do a transfer just for the sake of it? xxxx

Fizzle1987 · 01/05/2023 09:46

@StaceyWS88 Honestly you will be fine, try not to stress yourself. You’ll do great xx

@Frisbeee i’m so sorry to hear that. If they’re doing the transfer anyway maybe there is some hope, I’m keeping everything crossed for you xx

BiscuitLover3678 · 01/05/2023 10:13

Oh I’m so sorry @Frisbeee :(

Thank you ladies, you’re all so lovely :)

CR7 · 01/05/2023 12:16

How are you @StaceyWS88 x

CHARL82 · 01/05/2023 12:30

So sorry to hear this, thinking of you for the transfer and hoping for a positive result.

CHARL82 · 01/05/2023 12:39

@Vallef

Thank you. What vitamins do you suggest? I'm taking Vitamin D, Amega 3, Pregnacare, Folic Acid, COQ10 at present.

Had my egg collection today and I did have 1 egg from 1 follicle. Find out tomorrow whether it is a mature egg and if it is fertilised, so fingers crossed 🤞

Hope all goes well for you on the 8th.

CHARL82 · 01/05/2023 12:42

@StaceyWS88
