Thank you! Home now. They’ve upped my cyclogest to 3 a day now, I’ve usually only had two so hoping that makes a difference if I get some blasts 🤞🏻

@StaceyWS88 they offered me a third one but told me a needed to take it the tally so I was like "no thanks, I'll take the injection hahah". Feeling ok here. I'm usually fine the first week and then get antsy xx

What are you wearing or taking for egg collection?

@BiscuitLover3678 ah yay, nice that we are the same day! Do you know what time you’re in? I think I’m going to be about 11ish but will get confirmation this afternoon.

I think I just wore comfy, cosy clothes last time so will probably do the same this time. Leggings & a jumper I expect! I have to take something to eat and drink for afterwards. Tight gits, we’re paying privately & they can’t even provide tea & biscuits 😂. How about you?

@Frisbeee I wore big pants and a tracksuit a size too big. Thick socks. I got biscuits afterward when I went private and toast with the nhs xx

Day 7 of stims and only 1 large follicle and 3 small follicles. I knew it would be low but hoping the 3 small follicles develop over the next two days before my next scan.

Did they change your dosage at all? On day 6 I had 3, by day 10 I had 17! They upped my dosage though.

@CHARL82 That sounds good. The follicles grow really slowly for the first week or so then really fast in the last few days. Hopefully your smaller ones will catch up & you may fine some additional ones come through!

@CR7 thank you hun that's handy info to have that's for sure. I think if this go is unsuccessful il have to consider if I want to use the remaining 3 embryos we have even though their all day 5 AA or just do a new batch and do the genetic testing as I don't think you can now at this stage on the existing ones. What you said makes sense!!

@Vallef you absolutely can but they need to defrost and then re freeze. That carries something like a 3% risk if I remember rightly.

Personally I would do that rather than start again. All of the seven I sent were high grade but that doesn't always mean they are euoloid although it often leans that way. Id rather not put my body through stims again if I don't need to xx

What’s everyone’s thoughts on a bath after collection? I haven’t had one whilst on stims and while I’m having a day at home relaxing I’d love a bath! Whilst waiting for the call to say if any of our eggs have started to fertilise 🙏

@StaceyWS88 i was told I could have baths as normal until transfer then they would have to be cooler if I had them, I’m sure it would be fine, just make sure it’s extra clean to avoid any infection or anything, How are you feeling today? X

I’ve just had my call from the embryologist and all 3 have so far made it to day 3, We then had to make the decision whether I push through to day 5 or have a transfer today. We have decided to go to day 5. I know it’s a risk but they seem to think that even if they had transferred today if the embryo was going to perish it would perish inside anyway as they can’t at present tell which is the best out of the 3. I’m taking today as a win and will start being anxious again tomorrow 😅.

I’m feeling okay! The embryologist called and 8 have started fertilising. Transfer tentatively booked for Monday 11am. They’ll only call between now and then if anything changes, so hopefully won’t get a call! I asked them if I could have a bath and they said yes but don’t come out like a lobster, so I just had one! Xx

@StaceyWS88 I was told to avoid hot baths for at least a week following egg collection as there is a risk of infection and also damage to your already stimulated enlarged ovaries. I know the info seems to change based on the clinic but I would say Google and see some info that says why you shouldn't and just make the decision your self if you want to risk it. If your having a fresh transfer I would personally say don't so anything to risk it? I had a nice shower after my egg collection and made sure I had nice clean bedsheets with my relaxing candles and some nice music and just had all the comforts around me. That was nice and relaxing as well xx
