@Sd183 amazing news, yay!!! I’ve not got to that stage yet but reading about others in the groups they have mentioned bleeding with a bfp. Hope you hear from the clinic soon xx

@Katie12444 I can’t say for certain but for me the clinic was fine as the scan they did on CD3 showed that the lining had thinned enough from the bleed so I don’t think it will delay your FET at all xx

Sd183 · 19/04/2023 11:07

my clinic has asked me to go for a blood test 😳 very worried now.

Stopthatnoisemummy · 19/04/2023 12:46

@Sd183 tentative congrats. Hope the blood test gives some more clarity/reassurance.

Vallef · 19/04/2023 12:47

@MS2692 not sure if this helps as everyone has said the direct opposite but my clinic said to abstinate from sex for at least the 2 week wait. They said anything that could cause the womb to contract who cause damage during the implantation window and as women have different windows it's better to be safe than sorry I guess given how expensive the process is and challenging with all the medications. I personally know that if something goes wrong I will grasp at anything I could have done wrong so I try to avoid giving myself the opportunity and just follow up what my gut tells Me. Good luck x

Vallef · 19/04/2023 12:48

@Sd183 good luck and try not to stress its bad for the bean :)

Vallef · 19/04/2023 12:52

@Jupiteer how are you doing? Not sure if anyone told you at the clinic but when I went through ohss I was told to eat lots of high protein food to help the ohss and increase my salt intake to reduce the fluid? So foods like bacon helped and within 5 days I actually felt the bloating reduce!

MS2692 · 19/04/2023 12:54

@Vallef Thank you that's very helpful - you're right I will stay safe x

Vallef · 19/04/2023 12:56

So glad to hear some gd news! Am going for my transfer tomorrow and I feel so nervous 😓

Vallef · 19/04/2023 12:58

@MS2692 keep in touch and gd luck! Hope my transfer goes well tomorrow just feels so nerve wracking

MS2692 · 19/04/2023 13:10

@Vallef Good luck!! I hope it goes well! If it's any help my transfer wasn't painful at all just slightly uncomfortable where I stupidly filled my bladder too much! I am currently 8dp5dt and slowly losing my mind my OTD is on Monday x

Vallef · 19/04/2023 13:20

@MS2692 that's the thing everyone worries about rhe meds but I always think the wait post transfer is the worst time of the whole thing because you literally cannot think of anything else. Last time I went for the blood test and by the time they called me at 3pm with the results I worked my self up so much with stress I couldn't get my body to stop shivering after. Good luck though and just keep busy busy busy the last 4 days until you test are felt even more. Binge on Netflix if your not working :)

Stopthatnoisemummy · 19/04/2023 16:50

Good luck for transfer tomorrow @Vallef

Vallef · 19/04/2023 18:40

@Stopthatnoisemummy thank you :) will keep you all In the loop hopefully with some gd news!!

Jupiteer · 19/04/2023 18:51

@Sd183 congratulations on your BFP! So great to get to this milestone. I hope your bloods were reassuring?

@Vallef the clinic really just told me to drink lots of water and that's about it! I'm struggling to eat a lot of foods as feeling nauseous on and off, which they have said is part of the ohss. I have even gone off tea and chocolate! The only things I can always eat is cheese and crisps so they sound good for The salt intake and will try with the protein too! The bloating is so bad, I honestly look 6m pregnant and hiding it is difficult. It's uncomfortable! But just have to ride it out. They said it can last 12weeks but sometimes settles sooner. I'm only 4 weeks so feels like a long way to go! Good luck with your transfer!

x

Test results were not good. Levels at 69 they wanted 100+. Back tomorrow for another blood test. Devastated.

Stopthatnoisemummy · 20/04/2023 17:37

@amoobaa hope EC went well today.

@Sd183 sorry to hear that. I hope the next set show a good rise in levels.

@BrownXeyes are you OK?

BrownXeyes · 20/04/2023 17:41

@Stopthatnoisemummy everything is ok ☺️ however I still feel so paranoid! I know I am so lucky but I can’t help it. How are you doing?x

Jupiteer · 20/04/2023 19:20

I'll keep everything crossed for you @Sd183 xxx

@Sd183 I’m sorry to hear this. This is exactly what happened to me too (end of last year).

I do t know if you’ve experienced this exact scenario before? But the reason they retest is because the numbers can catch up… obviously the last thing you need is false hope, but sometimes the HCG does double a bit later and things can progress. Will be thinking of you and your retest.

@BrownXeyes its so hard not to be anxious about every detail isn’t it! I’m determined to have a less anxious experience this time but im
not sure I’ll manage it!! Hope you have some things to help you through 🤗

Stopthatnoisemummy · 20/04/2023 19:43

@BrownXeyes glad to hear it. Do come join us on the IVF first trimester thread.

Symptoms fluctuating here and currently enjoying the delights of constipation and headaches! Have self referred to the midwives now.

amoobaa · 20/04/2023 19:50

@Stopthatnoisemummy things, dare I say it out loud, went better than last time. Last time we got 14 eggs (8 mature). This time we only got 10 eggs. BUT when they called to confirm mature ones, all 10 were mature. So overall we got more eggs to fertilise.

They used icsi. Seems all went well. Now they will call tomorrow to tell us the number that fertilised.

im trying so hard not to obsess and stress. But it’s hard not to clutch at every teeny tiny glimmer of hope.

to get viable embryos would be mind blowing.

what a rollercoaster.

I have no idea what tomorrow is going to bring so I’m posting now whilst the news is good.

hoping you are all ok and looking after yourselves and surrounded by support. Although personally I’ve decided not to share much with anyone and am so grateful to be able to share with all of you ☺️

amoobaa · 20/04/2023 19:57

Ps although it feels like the numbers of eggs we are getting are good, the issue is our sperm… we have never got more than one viable embryo from a round. So I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if any of them will pull through, at the same time hoping by some miracle we get lots!

I realise this is pointless waffling. I just wanted to share as there is nowhere I can really share with people who understand in my day to day life.

Stopthatnoisemummy · 20/04/2023 20:20

@amoobaa great numbers and everything crossed for you that you get a positive update tomorrow. Hope you've got your feet up and distracting yourself with some trashy TV whilst recovering.
