Hi all,

Just did ER at Abc over weekend and waiting for embryo update. Very nervous as the fertilised rate is not as high. This journey is so stressful and sometimes I feel so alone.

Hi Ladies!
Ive got my fresh transfer tomorrow morning at ABC St Paul’s! How was the transfer for you? Was your partner allowed in? And should I be taking the pessaries as usual on transfer day? Completely forgot to ask them during the call this afternoon 🤦‍♀️

Sunflower5858 · 21/02/2023 12:02

@BH2023 I am so sorry about that. But in the good side, you are so lucky to have several embryos to go. before the process I thought I would have some embryos to store too but not. I hope the FET will go superb for you soon xx

@1987ClaraBrown Sorry I didnt have the transfer yet and not fresh transfer for me so I dont know. I hope everything go well today and you have all the information you need xx

@BH2023 really sorry to hear that, never give up xxx

@1987ClaraBrown my transfer was at 12.30 so i had my morning pessary and then my midday one after my transfer so just take them as normal.
It was fine tbh! Yes my hubby came in with me. Fingers crossed it all works out perfect for you x

Hi everyone,

I am going to go for my second IVF treatment with ABC, I've had one back in 2020 resulting in twin girls and we are now wanting to expand our family hopefully with just 1 this time.
We will be doing FET, as we did a fresh cycle last time, could anyone tell me how does FET work please?

many thanks and hope everyone wishing for a 2023 baby gets a BFP.

Sunflower5858 · 28/02/2023 14:27

@MochaTea woa that is so cute with twin girls from a fresh cycle. I just did my FET transfer yesterday. So I took medications from day 2, scan on day 9 and then transfer on day 16 (I think this depends on different people). Let me know if you have other questions.

@LR94 Will you have a scan this week? Hope things will go well. For the pregnancy blood test, do you need to pay for it at the clinic?

LR94 · 28/02/2023 14:44

@Sunflower5858 I had a scan last friday and everything seems to be okay, I have another scan this Friday and she said hopefully we will hear a heart beat and see abit more
I had my blood done for free but i have to pay for my pessaries now, £34 for a week of them and i need to take them for 12 weeks. Getting abit pricey!

Sunflower5858 · 28/02/2023 15:45

@LR94 Oh they asked me to pay for my pregnancy blood test. How can you get a free one? I might need to ask them again then.
Can you ask them for the prescription of pessaries and buy it somewhere else?

OP posts:
LR94 · 28/02/2023 15:53

@Sunflower5858 they just didn’t charge me for it so i assumed it was free haha maybe not. However I have had an ectopic pregnancy before and i was abit worried so they did my bloods for that reason.
maybe thats why it was free xxx

BH2023 · 28/02/2023 20:24

Ah good luck @Sunflower5858 I hope the two week wait goes quickly for you and there’s a lovely BFP at the end for you. I’ve had a few blood tests were free - I think they just need a reason to do it and won’t charge you x

Glad to hear all is going well @LR94 and good luck for your scan on Friday x

Welcome @MochaTea what an amazing result you had last time! X

MochaTea · 28/02/2023 20:41

Thank you , and by medication you mean injections right?
I have my appt on Thursday but just want to know a little of what to expect.

Normally the blood tests and scan at 7 weeks is all included.
i hope you get your bfp soon, it is a crazy period dealing with the anxiety of waiting to test.

thanks @BH2023 it was too good to true. I never in a million years thought it could happen but it does and it seems it happen a lot with ivf with one single embryo

Sunflower5858 · 02/03/2023 09:15

@MochaTea Thank you. For medications, they are just oral and vaginal pills. Much easier than all the injections isnt it? :) For your embryos, are they 3-day or 5-day? And did you use ICIS? x

@BH2023 Thank you. I try to be calm but my mind wonders a lot. When will you plan for your FET? x

@LR94 Keep us update when you have the scan x

@Sunflower5858 I’m more nervous than I thought I would be! Desperately want to hear that heartbeat 😭

how are you getting on? X

Sunflower5858 · 02/03/2023 10:22

@LR94 I really pray for you to hear the heartbeat tomorrow. Wish all the best xx
I am not sure how I am feeling, all mixed feelings :)))

OP posts:
LR94 · 02/03/2023 10:54

@Sunflower5858 when is your test date? Xxx

Sunflower5858 · 02/03/2023 11:34

@LR94 9/3 for blood test or 11/3 for home test. Did you have any symptoms during 2ww?

OP posts:
LR94 · 02/03/2023 11:51

@Sunflower5858 I had extremely sore nipples from the evening of the transfer which I still don’t understand as nothing would have even happened at that point! they still hurt now and i had a few tiny cramps and twinges but thats it really. Do you have any symptoms? Xx

Sunflower5858 · 02/03/2023 15:36

@LR94 No I haven't felt symptoms yet. Just quite sleepy 😴

OP posts:
LR94 · 02/03/2023 15:38

@Sunflower5858 thats a good sign. I have days where i’m just totally exhausted! Xx

1987ClaraBrown · 03/03/2023 07:33

@LR94 how far along are you? Keeping my fingers crossed for your first scan!! I got my BFP last Sunday (5dpt5dt) just couldn’t wait any longer for the official test date ABC gave me (which is tomorrow)! Got 1-2 weeks on the Clearblue digital that day too which turned into 2-3 weeks yesterday, so I’m hopeful the hcg is doubling the way it should be. Did you do any blood tests?

@Sunflower5858 hope you’ll get your bfp soon!

LR94 · 03/03/2023 09:15

@1987ClaraBrown congrats! Thats good news! I did the clear blue tests and got the same!
I had a blood test because i’ve had an ectopic pregnancy before and if your hcg levels are really high it could indicate an ectopic before a scan but everything was fine. I had my blood test for free because i was having extreme cramping and they wanted to rule out the ectopic but I think if you want one just to check hcg levels you might have to pay for it. I’m currently 6+2, my scan last week didn’t show much, just the sack and that it was in the right place but hopefully today i’ll hear a heartbeat. So nervous x

Sunflower5858 · 03/03/2023 10:37

@1987ClaraBrown that is very good sign. Hope you will have great number tomorrow x
@LR94 thinking about you today. Hope everything will be perfect x

OP posts:
BH2023 · 03/03/2023 11:24

@Sunflower5858 hoping to go for an FET with my next cycle which should be in a few weeks. How are you feeling now?? Keeping fingers crossed for a BFP for you :-) x

Good luck for today @LR94 will be thinking of you x

Congrats @1987ClaraBrown! seeing 2-3 weeks is really positive x

LR94 · 03/03/2023 15:59

@1987ClaraBrown @Sunflower5858 @BH2023 my scan was really good, heard a heartbeat which was lovely, 121bpm however only could slightly hear it as my ovaries are still quite big from my egg collection so i’m booked back in for next friday to hopefully get a better scan.
its so reassuring though x

Sunflower5858 · 03/03/2023 16:22

@LR94 that is amazing!!! Congratulations must be such a relief to hear the heartbeat xxx

What day did you start to test after the transfer? I don't feel anything different from before the transfer so a bit worried today.

OP posts:
LR94 · 03/03/2023 16:29

@Sunflower5858 I tested 5 days after and it was negative, 6 days was also negative and 7 days post was negative again!
and then on day 8 i had a very very slight line. I tested every day after that and it was still very light, it didn’t actually get dark at any point tbh.
i also had some cheap tests from amazon and even after I was getting 2-3 weeks on a clear blue, the cheap tests were always saying negative.
I wouldn’t worry about symptoms because lots of people don’t have symptoms!
the two week wait is probably the worst part of the process, its emotional torture every day. Fingers crossed for you xxxx
