IVF and ICSI 2WW November/December

Hello everyone, I'm currently 2dp5dt on my first ICSI cycle. Thought I'd start a 2ww thread seeing as my inane wonderings are going round in circles and driving me mad.

Anyone else in the same boat? My mind would like some company 🙂

Maybe I'll share some more info... I'm 38, nearly 39. I had 10 eggs collected, 8 fertilised, 2 made it to blastocysts - one transferred and one in the freezer. We had ICSI because my partner has antisperm antibodies.

I'm supposed to be working but can't think about anything except what's going on in my womb right now.

Hi countrypunk, I had a fresh transfer yesterday :)
I’m 37, retrieved 12 mature eggs, 11 fertilised, 5 made it to viable blastocysts so have 4 in the freezer now.
I’m also meant to be working right now 🤣
having to wait til the 5th to test is going to be a nightmare!!

Is this also your first cycle? How did you find the transfer? I was fine up until the nurse showed me the embryo being placed on the ultrasound screen, and then I burst into tears.

Amazing that you got 5 blastocysts, you must have been thrilled with that.

I'm trying not to google every single symptom or lack thereof... unsuccessfully 😆

Hi all. Im also in the tww. Im currently 7dp5dt with an FET. This is my first FET but have had a failed fresh transfer in the summer. Hope your tww is going well. I’ve been Googling everything under the sun in this tww and keeping telling myself to stop 😂

Yeah it’s my first cycle too, it’s all going so quickly!
I was mostly just excited yesterday tbh, now just a bit impatient and desperately wanting to feel some mega cramp haha.
They kept asking whether I’d had any neck pain, which I hadn’t, and typically today my neck is killing, so now I’m wondering whether that’s a bad sign…I probably just slept in a weird position 😂

Hi both. Yes I’ve resisted so far but I think I will test earlier than the official test date but I’m currently at my parents house so my husband would be so annoyed if i tested without him there 😂😂😂
Ive had no real symptoms at all to be honest. I have very light cramps for 2 days running around 3dpt and 4dpt but nothing significant . Have you guys felt anything yet?

@hippo100285 Weird about the neck pain question! Yes, I want time to fast forward to OTD... it's going sooooooo slooooooowly.

@Summer281991 I'm gonna test the day before OTD, which is 2 Dec. I had cramping on day 2 and nothing since. I've convinced myself that was the embryo trying to implant and the nothing since means it's failed. I hate the tricks your mind and body play 🙁

I'm also at my mum's because my partner's working abroad until just before Christmas. And I have a dog which is helping - she's getting loads of cuddles, which she's tolerating!

Oh and my boobs are sore and swollen. But I know progesterone does that.

Feeling quite ratty today actually. I just had a 'catch up' with my boss and he droned on for over an hour. I don't think I was hiding my irritation very well... but I don't care right now!

I’ve had no cramping since too which is making me think the same 😖…. I saw a feed on here where people had no symptoms at all in the tww and for a bfp so my fingers are still crossed!

my official test date is 01st dec but I think we will be testing third weekend 🙏🏽

I was getting lots of flutters yesterday and then nothing today other than a brief shooting pain up my bum haha. Its going to be a looong 10 days 🤣

I'm definitely gonna try and hold out till Thursday. I had some light period-like pains this morning.

It's so difficult because I know all these 'symptoms' can be caused by the progesterone! Aargh! And they could also be completely in my head...

its funny because when you’re in the tww you feel every little thing but usually you wouldn’t notice it. 😂😂

Hello! Please can I join? Had five fets. First gave me my ds , next 3 failed and currently in tww with number 5! Test date weds. No symptoms really. So no idea. Just praying x

I haven't got any symptoms anymore either. Trying not to read into it too much and just go with the flow... easier said than done 🫣

You really can drive yourself mad with it can't you. I've got that heavy feeling I get before my period comes. I think I'm 3 days late now, but should we still be thinking in terms of our normal cycle when we've all been on tons of hormones?

That’s exactly what I wonder, like how are we to know whats normal or not after the injections at the start of the cycle??
It’s exciting though isn’t it. Got everything crossed for all of us 🤞x

I'm having period pains.

Part of me hopes it might yet be implantation, but they're exactly like the initial pains I get a day or so before period. Not properly painful, kind of like my womb is vibrating. I think I may test early to put myself out of my misery.

How is everyone else? Any symptoms?

Ive got nothing. Nada. No period pain or heaviness but no exciting things like breast tenderness either.

weds test day. I’m hanging on in there.

Don’t know how you have all been so patient, I only had the transfer on weds and tested this morning 🤣
The test line came up straight away but then no control came up so it’s an invalid result. That’s given me enough confidence to stay positive though!
I had period like feelings yesterday too, almost like a pulse in my pelvis, but I’d normally be spotting by now and due on tomorrow so looking good so far.
