Hello ladies
new to post here but been lurking for months here and have found this forum very useful.
currently going through a mild IVF cycle with Create Manchester (cycle 1, day 5)
feeling quite alone in the process and quite depressed. Stims side effects?
wondering if there’s anyone else in the Same boat as me?

Heyy @Maria12060

There’s another thread which may be useful which has recently started and people are at different stages of treatment too.

Hi lovely
this is my first time with ivf, im with create Manchester.
I'm having my FET tomorrow I had to wait a few months due to me getting ohss but I did know I wouldn't be able to have a fresh transfer I was told on my initial consultation.
How come your feeling alone?

Maria12060 · 03/07/2022 23:10

Hi @ParkerH1
Thank for your replying!!! I’m so happy someone’s read my message haha I didn’t think anyone would read it.

I’m not sure if it’s the hormones, whether it’s myself and DH (and our little girl - I have unexplained secondary infertility) being alone in the country (extended families live abroad) and work being very stressful even on a good day. It does come in waves and some days are great some are awful. So makes me think it’s May be the hormones :)

wish you all the luck in the world for tomorrow for the FET! I read somewhere and it’s an old wives tale that having McDonald’s fries after the transfer is a good idea. Don’t ask me why it makes no scientific sense haha

how Has your experience been so far with create Manchester? I’m a bit disappointed ☹️

Hi @Maria12060 ofcourse I'm happy to talk any time...
I wont lie I did lots of research on the company before went ahead and compared too other companies etc. Nurses are lovely but found the communication lacking which is disappointing and v stressful.

Thankyou for the tip I may just have to try it.

PM if you want someone to talk more privately I'm happy to be there for you and you can have your rants to make you feel better trust me we all need it.

I know what you mean about feeling lonely etc but here if you need anything.

One thing I would say is makesure you have all your paperwork costings etc all confirmed on an email so you know what to expect as some have come up as extra costings I wasn't aware of before hand even after checking it all multiple times before going ahead.

Where are you upto?

AmazonGroupie · 26/07/2022 11:23

Hi @Maria12060 , @ParkerH1 and @Bellwells , how are you getting on? I have been referred there by the NHS. I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling disappointed by them, could you share a little more please?

Bellwells · 26/07/2022 11:26

Hey @AmazonGroupie tomorrow is my last day of down reg before starting stims early next week.

what clinic have you been referred to?

AmazonGroupie · 26/07/2022 11:27

Create Manchester. Apparently there’s no waiting list at the moment so they should be in touch quite soon. Are you with them too?

HJen22 · 24/09/2022 01:25

Hi ladies. A bit of an older thread but hope you are all well. After two quite disastrous cycles with Aberdeen we are now going private and have booked a consultation with create Manchester in a few weeks. I have low amh and AFC. Just looking for any positive stories or tips going forward. What should we ask in our consultation, are there lots of monitoring scans etc? Thanks in advance x
