Thought I'd start a thread for those starting rounds in the next few months.

I'm 36. TTC for 6 years. This will be my 4th transfer. It's a double embryo FET in Cyprus.

So far so good for the rest of the day, stomach a little achy but that's to be expected.

@LT103 I couldn't cope with a weblink, I would be constantly ringing them saying things like 2 is not doing the same as 3 & 5 is it ok? 😂

@Steph2345 my leaflet says lactulose is safe to take , I'm glad I didn't take any last night though, I think I may have been a shrivelled up prune this morning 😂.

Good luck to everyone having updated in the morning, I'm sure we will all be part of the wide awake club tonight.

Is anyone on Lubion? I started yesterday, 2 injections a day and the injection site is quite sore, not at the time but afterwards.. If anyone is on it do you have any tips on making it a bit more bearable? Doesn't help having to do the blood thinners too!

@Herewegoagain881 I'm not on this, however I have extreme needle phobia so I looked into ways to reduce pain before I even started injections. Lubion on came up a lot and the tips were to hold an ice pack on the area for 10 mins before over your top. Then once it's in rub the area gently in a circular motion and to do right side nearer the hip, left side nearer the hip, right side nearer the belly button then left side nearer the belly button so the area has time to recover.
Can't advise if it works sorry but I did use the ice and alternating area technique for mine to ease my anxiety slightly.

@PMAmostofthetime thank you that's really helpful! It'll definitely help to use a structured location approach to the jabs as my stomach is starting to resemble a pin cushion and I am totally forgetting where I injected last. You are so brave going through this process with a needle phobia..I am ok ish with needles but I still mainly close my eyes when piercing the skin.

@Herewegoagain881 I didn't inject myself my OH did, I honestly couldn't have done it without him but I iced the area and choose where it was going, I had it written in my reminders where I was having the each timr so if I was in a rush getting home from work, I could quickly check my phone and ice the right area.

@LuckyNovember @AliceAbsolum @PMAmostofthetime good luck for updates/transfers in the morning! Currently in an exceptionally overheated hotel room having travelled to get to clinic wondering how I’m ever going to sleep!

Loads of friends and family really positive and no unhelpful comments on it so far so I'm relived.
Not looking forward to filming the transfer today but I think at least it gives me a bit of distraction.

@PMAmostofthetime my husband does this intermuscular jab I need in my bum 3 days a week and he's so good at it! I'm just hoping my next blood test result shows my progesterone is super high so I can drop at least one of the lubion injections..

And @AliceAbsolum I understand the anxiety about the youtube topic shift... I feel like I've noticed that a lot though, women/couples who've been vlogging about travel or cleaning or healthy living embark on an IVF journey and their YouTube channels shift to that focus, and honestly I think a lot of their followers really appreciate that (and of course they pick up new followers as well). You are inviting people into your lives in a really intimate way and sharing aspects of yourselves with them, and this is an extremely honest, raw journey. It's great that you're sharing!

Progesterone pessaries are so annoying. But I think you just have to make sure they stay in for 20 mins and then it doesn't matter if it falls/leaks out. TMI alert: I actually had a problem with the Cyclogest because they were too slick (kind of like soap??) so they just would not stay in, even if I was lying down, but I was on Lutinus during this last round, and that was totally fine. Did have to wear a pad every single day of my tww, but, could be worse I guess.

I am set to start my period today or tomorrow, so far no sign of it. I'm impatient, not going to lie! I really think that's hilarious though - in what other circumstance is a woman ever super eager to get her period???

I have just have my call and it's good news ET on Wednesday. 2 good quality doing really well and one catching up. Sadly 2 really slowed down.
Hoping we get to Wednesday now.

@AliceAbsolum watched your IVF blog this morning.
Wow what challenges you have both had to go through and the amount of meds you have. You are absolutely amazing! I had to skip through the injection parts, but I cried with you at points.

@AliceAbsolum I watched your vlog yesterday - wow. I have no idea how you vlog something so private and difficult but I'm so glad you do as your videos will help people struggling with IVF. Wishing you the best of luck today! Hope everything goes well for you. Doing this abroad looks quite lonely too - I hope you have plenty of support from home.

The amount of meds you're on for FET looks frightening though! I thought my stims were bad!

ET done...
When I arrived at the clinic for my sole remaining embryo, they told me that the 2 that hadn't fertilised properly had corrected themselves and caught up 😳
So 2 "very good" 12-cell embryos on board and a third 8-cell is in culture to see if it will go to blast ... I'm in SHOCK, even ugly cried when they told me, still can't believe it... the good twists are what I read about happening to other people, I never expect them to happen to me!!! ✨

How do you feel after ET- Welldone on getting this far.
I have 2 good embryos in the running and one they are hoping catches up. 2 started to slow down with their developing.
Hoping that there are at least 2 there Wed.

I think we'll be together @PMAmostofthetime ! OTD is 8th April for me....

Last time I found the day 3-5 wait the worst part, it's just so nerve wracking... even if rationally it makes no difference, it's just painful, but it will be Wednesday really soon...

It's going to be a LONG 2 weeks 😬

I'm currently lying down with my legs up having just used a bed pan as clinic doesn't let you get up for 2 hours 🙄
It's been a hectic day. Got here at 10am and transfer wasn't until 2pm. But it's done.

My OTD is the 9th 12dpt but I'll test on the 7th.

That’s great news @LuckyNovember! Something similar happened to me- I was told I’d be messaged if I had embryos to freeze but if there was nothing they wouldn’t contact me. They didn’t contact me and I was devastated, but turned out it was an internal server issue so I actually got two frozen! They still feel like ‘bonus chances’ somehow haha.

Wow @AliceAbsolum woo congrats on being PUPO! that’s so surprising about them having you lie down for two hours. Is there a reason for this?

I don't know why. They have all sorts of weird rules. See attached!

So I’ve finally had my call!!!! What a long morning!!
Of my 9, 5 are already compacting and starting to form blastocyst. 1 is pretty slow and likely out and the other 3 are progressing but a little slower than the 5.
So it’s just a wait and see. Obviously because I’m a freeze all I need good quality blastocysts to be able to be frozen! Just a waiting game!!
