Hi everyone,

Been on the conception boards a fair bit but this is first time on the infertility section.
Bit of background - 28 and been TTC for two years for first child. Had one miscarriage about 10 months ago at 5 weeks. Had all our fertility checks and no major issues have been identified. Consultant suggested IVF for us so we are currently in that process.
Nurse consultation is 2nd July and then hoping it’s not long after then!

Looking for some buddies to keep me going through it all as hate all kinds of hospital things and to stop me over thinking about!

Thanks for taking the time to read 😊

Then bubbles are deffo the baby I have front placenta an had them bubble like movements until about 19-20 weeks then after that she literally doesn't stop now my stomach looks like it's been invaded haha.

It the best feeling ever xx

tmc2021 · 05/12/2021 17:37

@LS2020 I've got 4d scan in the 23rd ill be 261/2 weeks can't wait, xx

LS2020 · 08/12/2021 08:24

@tmc2021 oh no I keep confusing people with that, we’re not finding out the gender and that’s the problem with they/them pronouns for kids 😂
Yeah I was in the bath last night and said to OH I can’t tell if it’s just gas bubbles or not and he was like well when have you ever felt gas like that and he’s right. Did have a small heartbreaking moment where I was like ooh I think this is the baby kicking and OH dashed over to feel and I’m like oh erm yeah you won’t feel this sorry 🤦‍♀️
I loved mine, I wasn’t too bothered about one but I might get one at a similar point now. I should be near third trimester for my birthday so might ask for one as birthday gift. Hope you really enjoy 😊

@LS2020
Hi oh good I found my second trimester went fast but This last one is looonnnggg 😂

I have 6weeks 4 days left not that am counting haha.

I'm very big an uncomfortable it mainly my belly that's big though. Had severe anxiety last few weeks over the silliest of things thing my hormones and everything playing havick and am now on maternity so feeling very bored.

When are you taking maternity?

How is everyone else? Xx

LS2020 · 05/03/2022 06:15

@tmc2021 sorry I totally missed this thread notification but you must nearly be there now??
Also agree with you on third trimester why is 9 weeks away so short but also far?!

I’m taking maternity/holiday from 36 weeks but have a growth scan Tuesday as baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead so I may likely get induced early so hoping I get some mat leave.

How are you feeling? Xx

LS2020 · 11/04/2022 08:07

@tmc2021 congratulations! How are you finding being a new mum?

Yes I’m 36 weeks now although baby is measuring big so have a scan at 38 weeks for a potential early induction so v not long! (They were apparently 7lb 2 at my 34 week scan 😬)

@LS2020 hi ooohhhh not long now bet you excited

I love it she is amazing I'm breast feeding so it is tiring but worth every second

R u getting to the fed up stage yet? I did at the end of felt like I was pregnant for a year haha xx

LS2020 · 21/04/2022 15:20

@tmc2021 so glad to hear you’re both well and I’m really hoping all works out with breastfeeding too, I really want to do if I can 🤞🏻

sort of.. today is my first day post pre planned stuff for my maternity leave, we wanted to limit social events to reduce covid catching risk, and now I have nothing else planned, I keep giving them a poke to see if they want to make a move 😂😂

Hi @tmc2021 I had my little boy on the 5th 🥰 we are totally in love but gosh this newborn stage is hard isn’t it?!

tmc2021 · 17/05/2022 07:35

@LS2020 congratulations an yes it is haha it gets easier are you breast feeding? I’m breastfeeding which makes it a bit harder

so happy for use that’s wonderful news

did you get the night sweats xx

LS2020 · 17/05/2022 17:15

@tmc2021 i was but we’re having a latch and weight issue so I’m doing a mix of formula and expressed milk at the minute. I have an appointment tomorrow with a lactation consultant to see if we can go back to breastfeeding but part of me does like my partner being able to take over some feeds and get a run of sleep so not sure how I feel!

i keep telling myself that it supposedly gets easier every two weeks so I’m going with that 😂 no night sweats but it’s been so hot I probably wouldn’t be able to tell!!

@LS2020 @tmc2021

Hi both, I completely missed the notifications of this thread and then suddenly had one today. Congratulations both!

I am nearly 29 weeks and counting the days. We are having a girl and it's been one tough ride, but it's much better now.

I have been refered to my hospital's physio antenatal team and it has helped keep the PGP under control.

I have an anterior placenta so at times I still can't feel her move, especially if she is facing my back. She tends to have quiet days alternated with days when it seems she can't find a comfortable position and my whole stomach just jumps from side to side and it's like she is trying to break free 😁

@LS2020 how was your appointment with the lactation consultant?

Luluspies · 19/05/2022 20:09

I've not posted in a while I'm flat out with work but my phone had stopped notifying me when people post so I actually thought no one was chatting not just me hahaha! Can someone shed any light here I think I've asked before but I can't seen to get my brain around it. So after a failed cycle I had a withdrawal bleed on 20th so should I expect my next period 20th may? That makes sense in my head but I had a little bleed 11 days after withdraw slightly heavier than spotting but not like a period if that makes sense so that's made me question it? Hope that makes sense! Thanks ☺️

tmc2021 · 19/05/2022 20:24

@Novavee congratulations this is a lucky thread isn't it. I had anterior placenta with Aurora but she was a miss wriggle pants.

@LS2020 how did clinic go hope all is well

Aurora is 10 weeks now she got weighed today she is 14lb she is only dainty but chunky xx

tmc2021 · 19/05/2022 20:25

@Luluspies hi sorry to hear that an am not to sure can't really remember

How you feeling x

Luluspies · 19/05/2022 20:29

@tmc2021 I'm fine just lost track of my cycle I was going to track ovulation but I was away camping so was a bit difficult!

tmc2021 · 20/05/2022 07:57

@Luluspies are you gonna have another cycle? I had Aurora on my 3rd cycle x

Luluspies · 20/05/2022 08:26

@tmc2021 yes keen to start again on my second cycle, I didn't have any frosties from the first round so got to start again 😁

Luluspies · 27/05/2022 07:57

anyone have any experience with sperm defrag testing?

tmc2021 · 27/05/2022 08:57

Hi @Luluspies I don't even know what that is to be honest

I only had one frostie after aurora x

Luluspies · 27/05/2022 09:42

@tmc2021 it's when the DNA of the sperm is damaged it's not detectable in normal sperm analysis but it can lead to embryos not developing well, it seems to be treatable caused by environmental factors or bad lifestyle, they are thinking as my other half works with toxic chemicals it could be a factor as all our eggs fertilsed well but on day three they slowed down they want to look at the sperm in more detail. Makes sense just would of done this at the start no one even made us aware of it.
