Also wanted to mention that at my clinic I was told their success rates with frozen transfer were fantastic and better currently than with fresh transfer. I had a frozen so will have added to that good statistic. It's tough being delayed a bit more but you will feel glad to give your body that break and transfer day will come round soon enough.
I ended up enjoying that time between collection and transfer as I had done all I could, knew I was getting to transfer and just felt a lot of pressure lifted off

Kamiros · 18/07/2021 22:14

@willithappen So glad to hear everything going well for you. Was thinking of you the other day, nice to hear good news.

Comiston34 · 19/07/2021 09:30

Today is 9dp5dt and I AM GOING SLIGHTLY MAD... OTD tomorrow. I've not tested I couldn't cope seeing a BFN again.

I've had no bleeds so far which feels positive and had lots of cramping to start with, bloating had gone but is now back, stomach feels hard to touch and lower back pain occasional cramps/stich feeling - trigger and 8clicks of ovitrelle should have worn off.

I know it's like 50/50 with symptoms so they don't really mean anything as such.

I can't focus on anything!

florafoxtrot · 19/07/2021 09:44

Hi ladies, sorry been quiet and missed loads. We went down the coast for the weekend just for a change of scenery, was really lovely.
Not much to report, 9dt5dt too and OTD isn't until the weekend. Had quite a lot of cramps ever since transfer and a tiny, tiny bit of spotting on Saturday which gave me a bit of a shock but its completely stopped now.

Sorry you've had a blow @Kitekat81. How are things going now? I know its a cliche but it does only take one. Fingers crossed for you.

Kitekat81 · 19/07/2021 11:36

Glad things are all going well for you @willithappen!

@Comiston34 @florafoxtrot eek excited for you and hoping for good news tomorrow/this weekend!

I had my egg collection this morning. We were expecting 1 egg but got 2, so I'm delighted with that - double the chances! We'll get a phone call today to let us know the quality, and then a call tomorrow to let us know how many fertilised 🤞

florafoxtrot · 19/07/2021 11:47

Great news @Kitekat81. Hope you are resting up now

GemmTryTTC · 19/07/2021 12:02

@Kitekat81 Congratulations on your 2 eggs! Crossing my fingers for you!
@florafoxtrot no news is good news :) Glad everything is ok so far! Have you seen the midwife yet?
@Comiston34 I am crossing everything for you too!

We had to change our FET planning appt to the 3rd because of a bereavement in my partners family, and probably won't be transferring until my September cycle as we have family plans when we wuld be due to start bloods for FET... it means more waiting, but I guess it is what it is! I was quite upset about it but I guess the holidays made me see it with a new perspective, more time to enjoy the summer before my partner goes back to university and more time to get my body back to normal, I want to ask my GP to check my iron/folate/B12, not sure if it's the stress or not but I feel extra tired and I'd rather check all that! Might book an at-home test for them if the GP is reluctant, I've read they don't generally test B12!

florafoxtrot · 20/07/2021 09:22

BFN for me this morning. 💔

GemmTryTTC · 20/07/2021 09:32

@florafoxtrot I'm so sorry, take lots of care of yourself now.

Scirocco · 20/07/2021 10:12

Oh no, I'm so sorry. 💐

Kitekat81 · 20/07/2021 10:31

@florafoxtrot so sorry to hear this. Sending you a big hug ❤

Kamiros · 20/07/2021 10:58

@florafoxtrot I'm so sorry 💐

@kitekat81 Great news!

Kitekat81 · 20/07/2021 13:39

@Comiston34 how are you doing, any news yet?

We had our call this morning - one of our eggs fertilised normally and has the right number of cells, the other one didn't and hasn't but they are going to keep it until day 5 just in case it does develop into a blastocyst. We were only expecting 1 egg this cycle so I'm pleased with that result, though obviously still a long way to go. They were talking about maybe freezing our good one at day 3, I want to speak to them about that though as I would have thought it was better to push to day 5 rather than freeze something that is less likely to make it.

florafoxtrot · 20/07/2021 13:54

Really good news on the fertilised embie @Kitekat81

Not sure on the day 3 freezing but hope they can explain the rationale.

2mumlife · 20/07/2021 16:20

@willithappen Aww nice to hear things do work out for some lucky folks! Hope things continue to go well for you.

@Kitekat81 Great to hear you got an extra egg, and at least its doing something. 1 of my eggs they weren't sure about at my fertilisation update and it made a lovely little day 5 blast.

@GemmTryTTC Sorry hear hear about bereavement. You seem to have a good attitude though towards having a bit longer until the FET which I envy!

@florafoxtrot Sorry to hear your outcome. Whats the next move for you?

I had my blood taken this morning for my AMH recheck. So about 7-10 days now for results and from there I can start pushing to get things moving forward for next cycle. Have my first accupuncture appointment tomorrow so will see what thats like.

Comiston34 · 20/07/2021 18:17

@Kitekat81 Great news on the egg!

@florafoxtrot I am really sorry to hear about your bfn - although I didn't think you were in for bloods until the weekend, sometimes these things are slower to develop and I know 10dp5dt can be considered early from my frantic googling this week!

I want to share our news - our one single solitary embryo from 4 miraculous eggs has given us the 1st ever BFP I have ever seen in my 38yrs! Our beta came back today positive and I was then brave enough to do a hpt.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement and I hope it offers hope to others reading. Low amh has not defined me, and it is quality over quantity.

Kitekat81 · 20/07/2021 19:28

@Comiston34 that's amazing news, congratulations! I am so very delighted for you! It just goes to show that you only need one lucky one 😊

@2mumlife that's interesting that you had one egg that caught up by day 5. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I won't give up on that one just yet 🤞

florafoxtrot · 20/07/2021 20:05

Congratulations @Comiston34. That’s amazing news and you must be absolutely delighted.

@2mumlife - I guess it’ll be a FET for us but no idea when. I don’t speak to the clinic until Monday so will see what they say then.

Scirocco · 20/07/2021 22:20

Congratulations @Comiston34! So happy for you!

GemmTryTTC · 21/07/2021 07:12

@Comiston34 congrats!!
@2mumlife acceptance came after being angry about it haha, it’s been a process 😂 nothing I can do about it, might as well enjoy the summer and see the positives!

ally99101 · 21/07/2021 17:22

@florafoxtrot sorry to hear that, take care of yourself

Congrats @Kitekat81 and @Comiston34 on your good news!!

Had my first scan this morning and things are developing nicely, went in thinking I'd get all the details on follicle sizes etc but that quickly went out the window. I reckon I had around 20 total, maybe a bit more, ranging from around 7-10mm. Next scan Friday. Worried I only have enough meds to last till Sunday which would be 12 days of stimms so hopefully I don't need any more, I could do without the expense! Grin

ally99101 · 21/07/2021 20:22

@2mumlife how did your accupuncture go? Something you think you'll stick with?

itsmschanandlerbong · 21/07/2021 20:57

@Kitekat81 that's great news! Keeping everything crossed for you.

@florafoxtrot I'm so sorry to hear this ❤️ sending big huge hugs. Take some time out and take care of yourself xx

@Comiston34 congratulations! So happy for you. Enjoy this feeling ❤️

@2mumlife how did acupuncture go? I've recently started too and I'm really enjoying it!

Sorry I've been quiet, I have had a busy week. Not sure where the time has went! Back to the clinic on Monday for a blood test (I think 🤣) then should start stims for round 2 around a fortnight after. Feeling a whole mixture of emotions, dreading going back through the rollercoaster again but also hopeful this time will end different.

Kitekat81 · 22/07/2021 13:03

Hi ladies, an update from me as we had our day 3 call this morning. Our good embryo had 8 cells today so is top quality and that one's going in the freezer today 😊 Maybe I should have discussed with them about pushing it to day 5, but as this is our first cycle I would be devastated if it didn't make it and we ended up with nothing, so psychologically I feel better having that bit of hope in the freezer. Our second embryo which wasn't looking good on day 1 will be monitored until day 5 to see if it catches up and forms a blastocyst. So I'm feeling good that we have one in the bank after cycle 1, and maybe another bonus one to follow. I also spoke to the consultant and he said that I can have a scan on day 2 of my next period, and from there we'll decide whether to start cycle 2 straight away, or whether to leave a month break. I really want to just crack on, I feel like we are on a roll now!

ally99101 · 22/07/2021 13:18

@Kitekat81 amazing news, so pleased for you! Hopefully the other one comes along as well but as you say still so good to have that top quality on in the freezer now
