Hi @J90A, I am not on clomid but letrozole which is an alternative for the exact same reasons as you. I have been getting some really uncomfortable cramps sometimes very low in my tummy and sometimes more on one side. My ultrasound showed I had definitely ovulated after taking the medication and the pain seems to be immediately after I ovulate and i also get some bleeding for 24 hrs

2mumlife · 02/07/2021 19:55

@Scirocco Glad scan went well. Hopefully these cysts will clear up for you soon

@GemmTryTTC Exciting to be planning your FET!

@comiston34 I think once you've had a bad round you just want a better round for you, even if others don't think it's a great round if it's good for you that the main thing.

@LisZZ I did 4 rounds of IUI with Letrozole and gonal-F before moving onto IVF

We had a long day yesterday, but in Ireland now which has been a good distraction, even if keeping diet up is going to be difficult with DPs family offered crisps and ice cream and things that I need to say no to!

Egg collection done. 18 eggs collected so really pleased with that. Found it quite painful though. Feeling shattered too, home for lunch and then a nap. 😴😴 Fingers crossed for some good fertilisation rates tomorrow.

Scirocco · 05/07/2021 13:00

Wow! 18! You've definitely earned a nap and a delicious lunch. Fingers crossed for good fertilisation! 💜

Kamiros · 05/07/2021 13:02

@florafoxtrot Fantastic news!

GemmTryTTC · 05/07/2021 13:03

Wow @florafoxtrot that’s good!!! You’ve earned your rest now 😊

J90A · 05/07/2021 14:14

ally99101 · 05/07/2021 22:11

@florafoxtrot that's great news well done. Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow, keep us updated.

What was painful the actual procedure? Or before/after?

florafoxtrot · 06/07/2021 09:23

It was the actual procedure I found painful which as far as I understand it shouldn’t have been so I’m not sure. It was over very quickly and definitely not unbearable though.

13 fertilised normally so looking hopeful for a fresh transfer on Saturday Smile

Scirocco · 06/07/2021 09:26

That's a great fertilisation rate @florafoxtrot! Here's hoping things keep going so well!

Comiston34 · 06/07/2021 09:40

Yesterday we had our 1st egg collection at GCRM and we were lucky and very surprised to get 4 eggs (38, 1.3pmol) as was the Dr performing the procedure. My bloods indicated only 2 follicles were ready.

I was all very smooth and I have no recollection of the procedure at all. Those drugs are good!

We've just had our overnight update on how they have been and it turns out only 2 of eggs were mature so only 2 were possible to be fertilised. Overnight 1 has now fertilised and is in the embryoscope being observed we'll get an update later in the week on how it has gone.

So we have our hopes pinned on that wee miracle embryo. I've take a really negative stance on the whole procedure so far - expect the worst and be surprised by they positives. So far this is holding us together and knowing we have a second cycle to go also helps. Its such a crappy journey!

ally99101 · 06/07/2021 09:48

@florafoxtrot that's great

@Comiston34 sounds like the way you are approaching things is working for you which is great. Sure we'll all be hoping with you that this 1 makes it! Good luck

GemmTryTTC · 06/07/2021 11:24

@Comiston34 Fingers crossed this is the embryo for yous!
@florafoxtrot That's amazing numbers! congrats! I don't remember a thing about my retrieval either to be fair, I was fully out :D

Scirocco · 06/07/2021 11:57

Good luck @Comiston34 - thinking of you

Kamiros · 06/07/2021 12:00

@florafoxtrot Great news. I was fully out for mine, don't remember a thing.

@Comiston34 Everything crossed for you.

I have my appointment with the endocrinologist this evening; really hoping she can help with thyroid, hormone levels etc. and offer some advice on whether this is having any impact.

florafoxtrot · 06/07/2021 12:07

Everything crossed @Comiston34. Cmon little one, you’ve made it this far.

Hopewishprayer · 06/07/2021 12:23

@florafoxtrot great news and hopefully you recover quickly! 💕

@Comiston34 wishing you all the best, hopefully this one egg is the one! 💕

Scirocco · 07/07/2021 10:41

I've had my 8 week scan now and been officially discharged from the IVF clinic. It doesn't quite feel real yet...

Scirocco · 07/07/2021 10:42

@Kamiros, I hope your appointment was helpful - how did you get on?

Kamiros · 07/07/2021 11:36

@Scirocco Oh that's exciting.

Yes, it went really well. She says all my levels are now where they should be and we can go on next day 1. As long as they stay there there's no reason the thyroid should affect anything. She's writing to the GP to tell them not to touch my medication and to test me every 3 not every 12 months which should really help.

If (when) I finally get a BFP she's going to put me on a plan and see me every month until 20 weeks as I'll be high risk. She didn't do that much but the reassurance she's given me was really worth it.

GemmTryTTC · 07/07/2021 12:07

@Scirocco yay that's exciting! How are you feeling?
@Kamiros It's good that the doctor has a plan, and that you will be getting tested more often. Sometimes knowing there's a plan and having reassurance is (mostly) what we need!
@Comiston34 fingers crossed!
@florafoxtrot I hope everything is ok :)

florafoxtrot · 07/07/2021 13:45

Great news @Scirocco. I hope you're doing OK, I bet it feels weird to be in this position - but also lovely. I hope your pain has subsided a good bit too.

Great news on your levels @Kamiros. How long until day 1?

All fine with me @GemmTryTTC, no updates today but a busy work day so that is keeping me distracted. How are you?

GemmTryTTC · 07/07/2021 13:52

@florafoxtrot busy is good! Same, keeping busy at work, can't wait for our holidays next week :) and waiting (im)patiently for the 26th for the nurses FET planning to know more about what and how it's going on!

Kamiros · 07/07/2021 14:07

@florafoxtrot I have no idea. My last 2 cycles have only been 14 days, the one before was 42 days. I still haven't ovulated, though they're saying that's normal. I'm day 7 now so could be as soon as next week. No idea what they're going to do with the norethisterone if I'm having such short cycles, I'd need to start it much earlier.

Scirocco · 07/07/2021 15:17

Thanks! The pain's settling as the cysts gradually go down - they're making slow but steady progress.
