@smarty14 - really sorry to hear that. It is difficult journey and remember there is still hope with the two. It only takes one to do the magic. Sending you all the best wishes

@hopefulRomantic - I am same, we have kept it quiet. Well done with the first injection and best of luck with the rest Smile

@99pctpractice - I found it hard enough waiting for fertilisation and embroy status. 2 week wait will definitely be challenge. Its not long left for you though. Good luck for Saturday

Gensola · 08/09/2021 21:36

@smarty14 I’m so sorry to hear this, every stage of this process is so agonising. Keeping everything crossed that the two you have keep going all the way into fantastic embryos.
@Hansoo thanks so much for updating with symptoms, I have none except tiredness which I think is caused by the progesterone and am panicking it means it hasn’t worked.

Hansoo · 08/09/2021 21:55

I was tired and out of breath more easily

foodiefil · 09/09/2021 09:51

Had our day 3 call. Embryologist says 2 are good, 3 are ok, 3 not so much. She didn’t tell me the grading. I don’t really understand it anyway. Going in Saturday for embryo transfer 🤞🏼

Hope everyone is doing ok x

@smarty14 sorry to hear you were so upset. It can be a rollercoaster with the numbers, and hopefully the two that fertilised are fighting fit! I think I found the period from just before egg collection to transfer a more stressful time than I have been finding the 2ww!

@foodiefil that sounds promising! A lot can change between day 3 and 5 so hopefully some of them will catch up so you’ll have a good batch to freeze!!

beachbum85 · 09/09/2021 11:09

@smarty14 I hope your Day 3 call went well! I'm so sorry that you had less fertilised than you'd hoped, and I can totally understand the disappointment. I'm sending you lots of love and a big hug, and I'm rooting for your 2 to make it all the way xx

@foodiefil great to hear that they're still all going, it's great to have 8 embryos on Day 3! As @99pctpractice said, very promising for freezing too :) Fingers tightly crossed for a smooth transfer on Saturday xx

@Bluebonnet3 thinking of you today xx

@Gensola hope you're feeling better now and not unwell!
@99pctpractice has your piano arrived? We've taken a few days off and will be going to visit my partner's family next week as I know I'll need a distraction too!
@Nerdalert how's the 2ww going for you?
@Ttc8 how are you doing? Are you in the 2ww too?

@MollyVanDer oh wow I didn't realise there was such a shortage of eligible donors and a wait to get it delivered! I'm glad you've identified a donor now and hope the paperwork and everything goes smoothly :)

@HopefulRomantic welcome and very best of luck! This group has been such great support - nothing like talking to lovely women who get it :) very well done for for that first injection and fingers crossed that you won't be battling with OHSS xx

@beachbum85 - hello. I had my egg retrieval on Monday. Feeling little bloated still but feeling better than last two days. We have been told 8 out of our 13 eggs are fertilised. We haven't been told that we will get any day 3 update. Will find out on Saturday morning on how our mini embroys are doing and if we can go ahead with ET or if it have to be freeze all.

Really don't want to wait any longer. So keeping all the fingers crossed for Saturday

ngy21 · 09/09/2021 11:39

@2mumsandason yea this is my first! and i will hopefully be doing a fresh cycle. Good luck for your scan tomorrow and keep us posted! I have mine at 10:30am

@beachbum85 thanks! it's nice to get some reassurance, i am just a bit nervous about tomorrows scan but i am hoping the worse case scenario is that will have to continue stims for a few more days and trigger hopefully Monday... or Wednesday

@MollyVanDer we have 3 transfers here as well i believe - which is good!

@99pctpractice i didnt think this part would be so stressful, i came into this stage so naive thinking i'd definitely respond well to stims. And you're right it is easy to get obsessed over numbers!! Not long left for you to test, and i love that you got yourself a piano lol!!! Might have to take a page out your book if i make it that far!

@smarty14 fingers crossed for you today!

I am freaking out ladies. My boss thinks he has covid. He is going for a pcr later today.

I've been with him all week in the office, he isn't in today but called to say a friend had tested positive. He did a flow and thinks its positive, hence the pcr.

I have come home and done a flow test which is negative but that does not fill me with confidence. If his test is positive I'll go and get a pcr. I was going to go today, but then read it may be to early and I may get a negative but then develop it.

If I test positive I don't think the clinic will treat me. I am 6 days into my stims and I am due in for my final scan in 4 days. We have paid 6k for this cycle, which I think would be abandoned and then we have lost all that money. I don't know what to do and I'm panicking, other half is really angry. Has this happened to anyone else? I can't believe this is happening. If I test positive we have lost everything.

foodiefil · 09/09/2021 11:54

Thanks so much @beachbum85 this is the worst part! I go into a google worm hole.

@Goldilocks2528 oh no I’m so sorry you have this stress. Have you had the jab? Do work know you’re doing ivf? Stay home for now. If you have lateral flows keep testing. I would be really surprised if your clinic abandoned you like that. I know it’s hard to not panic but try not to. Try to breathe - all you can do now is stay home and keep testing. If they’re negative then continue with your appointments. Lots of love

OP posts:
Goldilocks2528 · 09/09/2021 12:03

Thanks @foodiefil. I have had both jabs. I'll do another flow test tomorrow and stay home until he gets his results. He doesn't know I'm doing IVF again, so if he asks I'll say I came home to test, and will stay here just in case until he gets his results..

The clinic website says "Cancellation of a cycle due to an exposure risk of COVID remains a significant possibility, even if you are fully vaccinated". I'm so flipping worried.

Goldilocks2528 · 09/09/2021 12:04

@foodiefil your day 3 call sounds very promising!! I found waiting for the call each day so stressful. take each day as it comes x

foodiefil · 09/09/2021 12:06

Good that you’ve had two jabs - hopefully they’ll protect you. You can self certify for 7 days so if you need to call in sick I’d do that so you can get to your scan with less stress. @Goldilocks2528

OP posts:
foodiefil · 09/09/2021 12:11

Thanks @Goldilocks2528 we didn’t get any frosties last time and I think the blast they put back in was meant to be “top quality” and it didn’t stick so there’s just no knowing until you get one back in really. Trying not to stress x

SerendipitySunshine · 09/09/2021 12:40

Congratulations @foodiefil

MollyVanDer · 09/09/2021 12:59

@Goldilocks2528 good to stay home and prioritise yourself right now. I really do get the demands of work but what I learned is that I'm coming first during fertility treatment and that's that.

It may be a technicality but an IVF cycle is counted once EC is completed. If you don't get to that stage, technically you haven't had your cycle that you've paid for. That's if the worst happens and you test positive. You would lose out on monies paid for meds but the clinic haven't provided the IVF cycle.

I am keeping everything crossed for you that you remain negative.

Will the clinic be testing you before EC? X

Bluebonnet3 · 09/09/2021 13:48

OTD: Clear blue digital first thing today and then blood test this morning both confirmed BFP! I really was expecting a negative (or afraid to hope for positive), but today, at least, things are progressing!

Clinic wants a repeat blood test on Saturday to hopefully confirm increasing hcg. When the result came up on the digital, I swore then ran to get DH. Perhaps not the most normal/romantic reaction! (The swearing, that is!) :-P

Goldilocks2528 · 09/09/2021 13:52

Hi @MollyVanDer, thanks for your message. I wish it were that simple for me, but it isn't. However, if it turns out I have caught it from my boss I will be telling him I want to work from home for the full 5 weeks of the next cycle.
Yes the clinic test before EC. I have an appointment Monday, all being well with the scan they'll then do a test. If it gets cancelled it will be before EC, so I think you are right, I think I'd have to pay for the medication all over again. I told my OH that and he is fuming and now not really talking to me, I feel like it's all my fault. We are both extra careful, but unfortunately I have no choice by to go in to work every day. Boss seems quite blasé about it all, but then he doesn't realise how much it is f*ing up my treatment if it's positive :(

Goldilocks2528 · 09/09/2021 13:53

Congratulations @Bluebonnet3 x

Gensola · 09/09/2021 13:53

Congratulations @Bluebonnet3, great news!
Did you have any symptoms?

Hansoo · 09/09/2021 14:09

@Bluebonnet3
Huge congratulations

foodiefil · 09/09/2021 14:15

Congratulations @Bluebonnet3!! It's so nice to read BFP!! What cycle and transfer no did this happen for you?
