Currently on day 9 of stims and hoping to have egg collection Friday.

Anyone else?

@Dbop100 definitely go for distraction! I had my day 3 update. 1 is at 8 cells so is 50/50 for Monday transfer. The other has stalled.
With hindsight I might not have paid for the Embryoscope. I'm not sure the day 1 and day 3 updates have really helped me tbh.
Planning to do some gardening and yoga this afternoon to keep my stress levels down 🧘🏻‍♀️

Dbop100 · 10/04/2021 11:44

@CurbsideProphet fingers crossed for the one at 8 cells currently 🤞🤞 so sorry about the other one. Let us know what happens. I'm not doing this via the NHS (AMH was too low so didn't qualify for funding 🙄) so my private clinic just gives me the early updates anyway. But ultimately they will be what they will be and updates don't change that. I'm trying to console myself in the event that we don't have anything to transfer that the knowledge from seeing how the eggs grow or not will at least help us understand what's going on a bit more?!

Aprilia123 · 10/04/2021 19:18

I had egg collection today. 14 follicles but only 9 retrieved. The dr thought probably due to age (I’m 42) so now I’m anxiously awaiting if any of them are any good!

swirls3468 · 10/04/2021 21:17

@Dbop100

Anyone else had their day 2 update? Just heard both of ours have 4 cells each and are looking great, feeling hopeful we can get to day 3 but slightly dreading the drop off after that. Might have to distract myself this weekend and do some DIY!
I didn't get an update. I didn't ask for one either. Tbh it would just make me worry. I'm hoping to do 5 day transfer. (Monday). I just think if their gonna grow their gonna grow. It's not gonna make a difference if I know about them. They can stop at any stage is my understanding. It's so hard. I just can't wait for Monday to know. Xx
Bells3032 · 10/04/2021 21:30

@Aprilia123 at 42 thats an amazing number. I had 14 foliciles and only 6 retrived and im only 32!!

We had our day 5 updated. 2 out of 4 have made it to blast. One excellent and one average. They're hoping that the other two make it on day 6. Then they have to go for pgs testing.

Feeling very deflated today as at day 3 we had 4 excellent ones. Trying not to lose hope for the other two

Dbop100 · 11/04/2021 10:13

Just had my Day 3 update and 1 is at 8 cells and the other stopped at 4 cells😔. So seems I'm in the same position as you @CurbsideProphet keeping everything crossed for my 1 egg to make it to day 5 transfer on Tuesday 🤞🤞 here's hoping the next 2 days go quickly and wishing you all the luck for tomorrow x

Aprilia123 · 11/04/2021 11:56

@Bells3032
Thank you so much for your reply, the doctor made it sound not so great, so it’s nice to hear other people’s experiences! Fingers crossed for your embryos, an excellent one sounds great!

We had the call and 6 fertilised, next update Tuesday. It’s pretty nerve wracking!

swirls3468 · 11/04/2021 12:19

asking for a bit of advice really. If anyone's had similar experience.
I had egg collection on Wednesday. Felt bit sore after but nothing unusual, not too bloated. Commenced the progesterone pessaries that night. Thursday, Friday- pretty much felt back to normal. Constipated and a bit gassy.
Anyway Saturday woke up bloated and uncomfortable - stomach tender to touch. I thought maybe I could be the progesterone ? Slept on it. Today I've woke up feeling the same. I can't say it's any worse although I am slightly bloated ? I'm meant to be having transfer tomorrow.
Just worried I've got ohss or could it just be the progesterone ?
I also seem to have a lot of gas.
No shortness of breath, Reduced urine output, nausea or diarrhoea.
Bit of context- I'm 25, PCOS . I did short protocol IVF which they retrieved 17 eggs.

CurbsideProphet · 11/04/2021 15:38

@swirls3468 you should have been given a phone number for Sundays / out of hours. You could always give them a call for your own peace of mind.
My abdomen is still tender which I think is normal (egg collection on Wednesday too). Progesterone can also make you feel a bit off a crampy apparently.

CurbsideProphet · 12/04/2021 19:33

@Dbop100 my 1 good embryo made it to blastocyst and was transferred today. Fingers tightly crossed for you 🤞🏻

Me too! One made it and was good quality. I honestly told them how I was feeling and they said it was normal as the ovaries fill back up with fluid. I feel even worse tonight. Really not well. I kind of wish they froze the embryo now. I know I shouldn't say that but just want to feel well again!!

CurbsideProphet · 12/04/2021 20:46

Oh no @swirls3468 I'm sorry you feel worse. Ring them tomorrow or even tonight for advice if you're really struggling. I feel ok just a bit crampy and bloated. It's really difficult to know what is normal.

KruT · 12/04/2021 21:25

@swirls3468 sorry you feel uncomfortable. I have asked them today and they said the same -it is normal and need a time. Try to drink electrolyte drinks, I think thats what helped me a lot. I am still soo bloated and bit of a cramps but the constant pain disappeared.

Yes I bought some lucosade sport. Actually painful to walk around for long. Gonna try and eat more today, I hardly ate yesterday.
I don't know if I'm supposed to be feeling anything yet? I know that sounds strange but I've heard cramping is a good sign but don't feel anything? X

Aprilia123 · 13/04/2021 15:18

Fingers crossed for everyone who’s had transfers!

We got day 3 update - out of 6, 2 are good 8 cell, 1 is a decent 6 cell and the others are less and they expect them to drop off. So fingers crossed atleast once makes it til Thursday!

Woke up last night in horrendous pain which lasted about half an hour, but moving around seemed to solve it, and have felt much better all day today.

Dbop100 · 13/04/2021 18:37

Well our one egg made it from day 3 to blast and we transferred today 🥳 so glad to have got this far. Can't believe it really the last 2 days have been so nerve wracking.

Good luck everyone! Hope we'll all getting some BFPs in the next few weeks.

CurbsideProphet · 13/04/2021 21:11

Well done @Dbop100 💐
Yes I found it agony wondering if any of the eggs would be good enough. And now we wait... Trying to remind myself that IVF does work in the 1st round for a lot of couples, it's not completely impossible.
I've signed myself off work as I know it's too much for me right now. I had a walk today for the first time in 2 weeks as I had to isolate from 31st March!

IVFbabyF · 17/04/2021 13:36

I'm so happy this thread is here! I had egg collection on Wednesday and have been feeling dreadful ever since! It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

When did you all start to feel okay again with no cramps or nausea?

Dbop100 · 18/04/2021 10:18

@IVFbabyF hey hope you're feeling ok today. I have to say I felt fine after my egg collection, maybe a bit bloated and tender when I went to the loo for about 4 days but no other side effects. I did only get 2 eggs from 3 follicles and did Natural Modified so perhaps that's why I've had a better recovery?! But everyone is so different just listen to your body and go at your own pace and good luck!

How are my post transfer sisters doing? I'm 5dp5dt and loosing my miiinnndddd. I usually get a migraine a few days before my period which tells me I'm not pregnant and I started to feel one come on last night and totally lost it and cried my eyes out. Really feel this hasn't worked but my official test date is exactly 1 week away so holding out until then to test

CurbsideProphet · 18/04/2021 16:39

@Dbop100 I'm 1 day ahead of you. I've been having cramps since I started the progesterone, so I'm trying to ignore them. But I started with light brown spotting on Friday evening (4dp5dt). I had my big cry 6.30am this morning. I went for a wee and when I wiped there was a rust brown discharge. It's gone back to light brown watery, but I don't know how this can have worked.

My OTD is Friday (11dp5dt) but I feel very unsure if I will actually get there. I only had 5 eggs / 1 embryo. This was my 1 and only NHS round so we'll need to do all of the paperwork again for self funded and then start all of the injections etc again. That really scares and depresses me 😔

Dbop100 · 18/04/2021 22:22

@CurbsideProphet I'm sorry that's really tough, I don't want to give you false hope but spotting doesn't necessarily mean a bad outcome. Everyone's different but the only time I've ever spotted was when I got pregnant naturally (which then I did loose a week later but the spotting was unrelated). I'm feeling nothing which is scaring me more about my chances. It's just such an intense wait no wonder we're both crying. I know how you feel about only having 1 embryo, this was our first round but we didn't qualify for NHS funding (AMH is too low) so resigned myself to the costs a while ago. Good luck getting through this week

Leonardo2021 · 19/04/2021 21:02

@CurbsideProphet spotting is actually a really good sign of implantation. As long as it doesn't turn bright red. It's the embryo nestling in and with it a bit of the lining comes away.

My friend went yesterday for her baseline scan to start her ivf. She had explained to the nurses she was spotting on and off for a couple of days but not a full bleed so they decided to scan her. Anyway... she thought it was just her period being weird... turns out she's pregnant ! They even saw a little sack on the scan. She hasn't had any other symptoms.
I've had no spotting and no cramps and I feel like that's a bad sign. Had a dull ache some days but think that's because I'm so bloated xxx

CurbsideProphet · 20/04/2021 16:39

@Leonardo2021 wow that's amazing for your friend 🙂 I would rather no brown spotting / discharge , as the longer it goes on the more I worry. DH has asked me to hold on to my last thread of hope until I POAS on Friday morning, so I'm really trying for him.
Are you on cyclogest? I'm so bloated and my digestive system does not like them at all 😬

I know, it's really hard. I've lost a lot of hope since I got a negative test on 6dpt but I got a faint positive on 5dpt (must've been the trigger). My test day is Friday.
Yes on pessaries they are awful. I'm bloated , tearful, one day constipated , then the next diarrhoea. So bad !!! Feel completely blerrghh

Dbop100 · 22/04/2021 16:46

How everyone doing? I'm 9dp5dt today and even though Sunday is the OTD I'm gonna test tomorrow morning, my consultant said that should be a fairly safe day to test. Eeek! So nervous. Not really got any symptoms except very mild cramps. Not feeling very hopeful. I'm usually an early tester but have been too afraid this time, the wait has been a torture but knowing for sure it's not worked feels so scary.
