@TheSnufflet I'm scheduled for egg collection week commencing 24th May, hopefully. I heard recently that just over 1% of births in the UK are the result of IVF, so it must be quite common especially when you consider all the cycles that don't result in a birth too.
@StrongEagle Welcome! Is this your first IVF cycle? I tend to get quite anxious too, I find keeping myself occupied helps as well as mindfulness and yoga.
@Crazydoglady123 Thanks for the welcome! What dogs do you have? We've an almost 2-year-old lurcher. During our last cycle, we thought, sod it, it probably won't work, let's get a puppy. Our son was born 9 months later...
@notyetamumbuttrying Transfer is normally 2-5 days after egg collection depending on how the embryo's grow. If it clashes with your weekend away you could tell them you're poorly with a UTI or have suddenly been scheduled for minor surgery that's been postponed because of lockdown.
@KayReeves I think people think the idea of a lockdown baby boom is cute but I'm not sure it actually exists in reality. For me the novelty value of lockdown wore off quite some time ago!
I've managed to schedule my medication delivery for Monday and start medication on Wednesday. I have yet to receive my protocol from the clinic, they are leaving everything very last minute. We have almost finished redoing all the consents, it takes hours! One day I will have a cycle with a clinic that has it's administrative shit together. Maybe.
